And I suppose you can get acquainted with the other whiny bitch, Nite Owl.1 Since you're already here and all.
Warner Brothers has seen fit to release two trailers showing off The Watchmen in action. They're character-focused vignettes demonstrating some of the fighting techniques in the two available characters for the upcoming downloadable prequel, Watchmen: The End is Nigh.
I have to say, the combat looks like it has potential but this really doesn't give us a whole lot more detail in terms of what the plot might be or where it falls into the timeline of Watchmen. The actions of police in Nite Owl's trailer suggests that it's after the passage of the Keene Act in 1977, sometime in the nebulous period where The Watchmen have disbanded but these two characters continued to act as vigilantes in defiance of the law.
Anyway, both videos are after the jump so we can keep all of the kiddies safe from (surprisingly decent) blood effects and violence. And check back Wednesday for our review of Watchmen: The End is Nigh.

Meet the rest of the team
Very interesting. Speaking of which, while other people are out at midnight movie premieres we're here blogging on Destructoid. I'd go but Colette's grinding through Star Ocean and our community tabs don't quite work right :)
According to a few sites around the web, this game will be one of a few episodes (one comes out with the film, (one comes out with the DVD, and I would imagine that they'll make more, popularity willing).
Research is your friend and so is Google.
As much as I think this game will be cool, I think that I'd rather play Dark Knight Returns... That's wishful thinking. huh.
I want this, but I don't think I'm willing to spend twenty bucks on this right now. I managed to hold off the urge to drop twenty on The Lost and Damned, here's hoping I can stay strong on this one too... But strictly speaking on visuals, this looks real good...
I hope for the sake of this awesome franchise that this is good. The visuals are great, but heres to hoping that the rest of the game tunrs out that way, too.

You should watch [REC], which is Quarantine but in Spanish (it came out before Quarantine did, and apparentely is way better).
This game doesn't look that bad, definitely will have to wait and see if it's decent or not.
Also, I'm crossing my fingers hoping that the movie will be good! (Anyone else is going to the midnight showing?? I know I am :p )
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
As an added note, I found Quarantine to be a pretty decent movie.
Looking forward to the movie quite a bit.
I'll wait til it eventually gets dropped to 1200 msp.

Here's to hoping the co-op is at least decent.

I wasn't really exited for this, but now I'm definatley going to get it.
I tried to watch these on my 360 the other day but the videos kept freezing up.
