I hate to say it but it's looking like most people either want to use him as a sex toy or not have him at all. My vote is ditch the look, keep the name. He could be a much sexier Vega. Like this:
And just like that I lose several points from my pool of interest in this game. This just looks like a frat boy shithead version of Jack, another useless and unwanted crew member in my game. After ME3 I would love to see optional party members. As in I can look at them, decide I want nothing to do with that, regardless of impact on the story, and leave their stupid looking asses behind. Sorry Vega, you can go back to eating hot wings with your bros because this ship is full.
Aren't there other Alien races they could use? Or maybe add an Asian guy/chick or more black people.
If I there could be only one, I would hope Kaidan "Mr. Sweetheart" Alenko would end up being the gay/bi option in this game. But hey, if it's only Mr. Vega I shouldn't complain too much! :D

Ive hated how mass effects and dragon ages have had the same body builds for every single member of the same sex. There's no fat people, skinny people, average people. Just ripped muscular people. I hope they fix this.
If he's one of the male/male romance options that's been confirmed for Bioware, I'll be a happy panda. A gay romance option that isn't another damn elf (or Anders) will be much appreciated by the gay men who like men, as opposed to androgynous sort-of men, in the audience.
Won't pass judgement on him just yet (I did so in ME2 with Jacob; a heavy risk, but the priiiiiiize) but if I get Tali, Wrex, Garrus, Grunt, Legion, Jack, or Thane (considering he survives his own personal illness), this Vega guy will be staying on the Normandy.
