Meet Tony Prince. He goes by the nickname “Gay Tony.” He has a few teeny tiny problems with debtors and enjoys the nightlife. While that doesn’t exactly sound like blockbuster Grand Theft Auto IV expansion material, it will probably end up being so.
Rockstar North just released a short character trailer for "The Ballad of Gay Tony," the upcoming DLC for GTA IV. Hit the break to check it out, but beware -- it's wicked short.
As a sidenote, here: Rockstar North must love afternoons like these. We imagine the marketing folk kicking back in their office chairs and watching the Internet explode.
I got to watch the previous trailer at least 100 times while in line for the Red Dead Redemption live demo. That one showed underground fighting and parachutes... this one seems much less content filled, and more story centric.
I'm really curious about the GTA4 DLC now, though. If they are adding gameplay elements (such as the motorcycle stuff, and now potentially sky diving and fight clubs) through the expansions, will any of it be cumulatively available for the Niko? I'd love to have access to all of it simultaneously.
Funny we mention the whole "gay" thing ecause that is actually what attracted me to the DLC in the first place was the title.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see what would happen if the playable character in a GTA title were homosexual, if only just to watch the controversy unfold. Seriously, though, violence and sexual themes are old hat now, when is Rockstar going to start really pissing off the Christian right?

I've always wanted to play a leading role as a gay character in a videogame. Seriously!

The most homophobic audience for a game around and putting you in the leading role as a Gay. OMG that be like totally awesome.
As it is though I imagine it will stay away from such acceptance.

The main character you plays as is not Gay Tony, but Luis Lopez, a friend/goon.
Or the Puerto Rican guy you see talking to him.
