After playing LittleBigPlanet at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, I can honestly say it is firmly planted in my top 5 most anticipated games of the year. It feels like so much information about the title has been leaked since its announcement at last year's E3 that we should know all the ins and outs by now, but it seems Media Molecule likes to tease us like panting dogs. We like that.
Co-founder Alex Evans recently commented to Eurogamer that "another LittleBigPlanet reveal that people don't see coming" is on the way very soon. He also mentions that "people will be saying, 'I thought it was this - now you're telling me it's this as well?!'" Perhaps there will be more depth to the happy little platformer than we originally thought, although I could spend hours customizing a sackboy without having scratched the surface of the game itself.
What do you think this big secret might be?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
"I really want to be able to do another [Game Developer Conference 2007] reveal. A lot of people say to me that when we first did that Sony GDC reveal of LittleBigPlanet, that was a big shock - people didn't see it coming. I want to do another LittleBigPlanet reveal that people don't see coming."
More than once he says want, and while it's nice to want things, that doesn't mean it's going to happen. Also, when I read that quote I took it to mean in the future, like, for their next project, he would like to surprise people in the same way LittleBigPlanet's original reveal did.
Am I completely wrong?
did you read what he said?
"people will be saying, 'I thought it was this - now you're telling me it's this as well?!'"
Now I don't know what the reveal is but I could speculate.
hmmm... this is harder than I thought. It could probably turn into a side scrolling shooter or something. who knows.
Oh wait..
...wait, what?
So now when you polay a level you have to avoid or kill enemy characters and also it means you can create enemy characters to your liking and give them certain attributes just like the scenery you make.
I have been looking forward to LBP too, but always thought the lack of enemies makes it look just too easy to complete any level created. Now with enemy characters It will be more like a mario game except even better :)
Anyway that is my guess and I hope I am right as I truely do not see how it can have longevity only due to the difficulty of an obstacle course without enemies roaming around.
My guess, multiplayer deathmatch.
Seriously. I bet it's going to have a ragdoll fighting mode.
