Medal of Honor: Reboot to be the first M-rated MoH game photo

Teenagers can go f*ck themselves for all EA cares! Medal of Honor: Reboot is abandoning the kiddy ratings to become the first M-rated title in the series, implying that World War II is nowhere as violent as Afghanistan. At the very least, Reboot is expected to be a far darker experience.

"This will be the very first (M) rated Medal of Honor," states EA's Greg Goodrich. "However, we will always be grounded by our core tenets of authenticity and respect for the soldier."

Goodrich also explains that everything found in the exclusive Spike VGA trailer was taken from actual gameplay footage. According to the game's executive producer, "At minimum, you can expect the [vehicular gameplay sequences] that you saw in the trailer."

I am looking forward to seeing how Medal of Honor can stand up to Call of Duty. I think it needs to have a really good story to set itself apart if it's ever going to steal away a sizable chunk of Infinity Ward's market, as well as gameplay that at least matches the ludicrous setpieces and addictive multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2. Quite a challenge, but EA has COWBOY on-side, so maybe it won't be too hard a struggle.

It would be impossible to ship that beard on a disc without an M for MANLY rating. I know that as fact.

Not like it was that far from an M rating to begin with.

Things MoH needs to beat the shit out of MW2...

1) Campaign longer than 5 hours.
2) Fast paced progression in multiplayer, with an addictive "level up" sound effect, plus LOTS of challenges.
3) Cutomizable weapons, multi-attachments (talking fully customizable, not just bling)
4) Create a character for MP - it sucks being a generic character on MW2.
5) NO KILLCAM
6) NO INSTA-SPAWN

These things will make it far better than MW2 in my opinion at least.

The reboot have already beaten MW2 in the beards department. They're playing the "My penis is bigger than your penis" game: Cowboy's bushy beard makes Soap's beard look like feminine facial hair.

Also, I don't know why it'd need a good story. MW2's story was fucking awful.

Cowboy is holding that gun like it's FABULOUS! I wonder if sucking massive amounts of officer cock is going to be a minigame.

now if M-rated would actually mean there's no little brats in the MP, I'd get it just for that reason alone... too bad there's so many shit parents...

Sweet!! I hope that means realistic gore. Bring on the exploding brain matter! When a high caliber sniper rifle round hits the human head, that is what happens. If your going mature, take it the whole way I say. No half assing.

I don't think it's really going to be able to legitimately compete with Modern Warfare 2, at least in terms of sales, because MW2 had the advantage of being a sequel to an amazing game, COD4. The Medal of Honor series has been out of the spotlight for a long time, and hasn't had that amazing game to raise it out of the limelight yet. From whatever I remember, I never really liked the MoH games as much as the CoD games anyway, they were always the slightly inferior versions. So MoH has a a lot to compete with just to try and come even with COD. Plus it seems a little "me too" to be rebooting a WW2 series with a modern take.

You say this as if an M rating ever stopped teenagers and younger from playing a game.
