This week's GameTrailers TV has a whopping amount of news for those looking forward to the single-player campaign of Medal of Honor. Plenty of never before seen gameplay is above and it looks very solid. Executive producer Greg Goodrich also lets tons of juicy plot details drop, including the fact that the story will be divided up into three parts and will focus on multiple parts of the U.S. military.
If I was going for some sensationalism I might note, like some other gaming sites have, that Goodrich mentions that the game will be told "from two different sides" and then claim that this means that we may be playing as Al-Qaeda in the single-player as well as the multiplayer. However, I think it's blatantly obvious to anyone that has actually watched the episode or heard them talk about the plot before that he is referring to different sides of the U.S. military -- specifically Tier 1 and Army Rangers. And we go and complain about the mainstream media stirring up trouble where there is none.
I personally think that Goodrich's discussion on the difference between realism and authenticity is far more interesting, and speaks loads more to how the game will play and what it will be like. I'm wondering how far away they're moving from a more arcade shooter and if that's going to fly with gamers used to Call of Duty's gameplay style.

To bad the multiplayer sucks, I only get game for MP. Literally I will not touch single player for months possibly even so far as a year. That whole issue with MP feeling to much like Battlefield and pretty much being one of the worse game play modes I know of. There's different types of "authentic" and the one I hate the most is the one with stance respawning and spaming nades/artillery.
It looks like the Bad Company and Call of Duty lovechild and it got the good genes from both so it isn't tainted will the horseshit that CoD has and the unbalanced vehicles that BC2 had. I think I'll be picking this up.
I just really hate the spawning system in these games, after having gotten used to the awesome spawns in TF2 It's gonna be a nightmare trying to readjust.
Heres hoping they go the BF2 route of having fixed spawn points; a main base spawn and spawn on CP's.
Regenerating health the only realistic thing in gaming

Personally, it could be a direct clone of MW2 just without the broken perks and spiralling killstreaks, without the whole "spawning right in front of people" thing and i would be happy.
Seriously as long as it's about the shooting and not about setting up the right killstreaks and perks I'm all for it.
@Sinner101GR: It's not a name it's a position to which the special forces are considered Tier-1 operators. Hence something being Tier-1 is similar to being said cream of the crop.
this game is looking fuckin sweet. i for one am looking forward to the single player. same thing when socom4 comes out. i see multi as a time waster if you have already beaten the single player. but i wont judge a game nor say i wont buy it based solely on one(multi only) aspect of the game.

we never did, it was just you all who blew shit out of proportion in the first place.
After playing the beta I wouldn't touch this game with a 10 foot pole. It feels like an extremely dumbed down version of BC2. I find it hard to put into words just how bad the beta played.
Personally if I wanted the next call of duty I'd just buy the next call of duty.
I guess I'm one of the few who enjoyed the beta. Sure it's not groundbreaking but I never expected it to be. The reason it feels like battlefield is partly because the same studio did the multiplayer for both games. I liked the smaller maps with faster paced gameplay and the killstreak rewards didn't feel that overpowered.

- No recoil
- small maps
- afganaistan
- console versions
Pros:
- fixed hitbox
After the MP beta (yeah flame me please) i clearly stick with Bad Company 2, because this isn't even a 50$ title...

+100 XP to Destructoid for actually watching the video and talking about it rather than like Joystiq who said "PLAY AS TALIBAN IN SINGLE PLAER LOL"
The second greatest was the lame killstreak rewards. They just plain suck compared to CoD MW 1/2 imo.
All my hopes now rest on the sp.
