Medal of Honor: Airborne screenshots photo

This game's still a few months away from its release, and I have to admit I'm already a little bias towards it. I'm a year away from a game art and design degree, and last year I got a chance to talk to an Electronic Arts employee working on this game. These new Medal of Honor: Airborne screenshots look pretty pleasing, but seeing games in their original 3D models and meshes can be even more interesting sometimes.

Designed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, this World War II game takes battle to all new heights and allows you to choose where each level's combat begins. By steering your parachute landing on each level, you can pick your own violent path through history. Medal of Honor: Airborne comes out in late August, but to see the full screenshots below in action now, check out this preview video.

What school are you going to Fronz?

Oh and MoH:A is looking good but it'll have to get stellar reviews or a bunch of friends getting it before I consider buying it.

"I'm already a little bias towards it..."? Yikes. I'm a little bias, short and stout... here is my noun and here is my adjective.

A guy in my gaming community got an invite to the community summit EA had for this. Here's a bit of what he had to say...

"...WWII FPS = been there done that, right? Between MOH: Allied Assault and Call of Duty, not to mention their expansions, how can you revisit a genre that has been used and abused while offering something exciting and fresh to keep gamers interested? This was the challenge explained to us by Executive Producer Patrick Gilmore who is clearly passionate about the MOH franchise and most of all Airborne dating back to the original email strings in January 2005 when Airborne was just an idea. BF2 has a massive environment which reaches every aspect of warfare from ground to air, not to mention it’s squad combat based system that couldn’t get any better for gameplay purposes with massive amounts of players on one server. What’s the big deal about Airborne, I get to jump out of a plane? Yes, but there’s a whole lot involved with the drop that changes the way we game..."

Comes out late August, just in time to be passed over for Bioshock (or Metroid Prime 3, if that floats your boat).

Jumping out of a plane and parachuting will be cool and all, but after that it's just going to be more of the same. I can't be bothered with it personally.
