I agree completely. I personally wasn't that affected by the level, but it can't be better than playing as the Taliban. It's not like there's a level designed around being the Taliban and killing US Soldiers or anything.
Shooting people with a Tailban skin? Insensitive.
If that's not a leap in logic, I don't know what is. Especially considering no one would even know you're playing as a Tailban labeled character unless you tell them. Apparently it's the name that is offending people, if we changed it to Talibuni, no one would care anymore.
...derp.
That is all.
You over-reactive douche, the military exchange service are not doing it to save soldiers "poor fragile mindsets," they're just saying that supporting a game that features the ability playing as people who are *currently killing the military* seems a little crass. As such, they're not selling in their service. Which is their right to do. Christ, get a grip.
Perhaps I'm thinking too far into it and should just agree with Spectreman. The more press they get, the more people want to buy it. I mean, how many more copies do you think were sold with the airport campaign that buzzed across the land?
A little freedom anyone?
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill
Freedom isn't free
No there's a hefty fuckin' fee
And if you don't throw in your buck 'o five
Who will?
So, now that its a third party, they are all dumb, oversensitive douches that can't understand "its just a game"?

Wait, all of you. Weren't a couple articles in this same site talking about boycotting the game, or dismissing people for defending it? "
Defending ones personal opinions from people who decide to bash them. I dont see that as a attempt to boycott MoH.
Stupid fucking move.
Well maybe they shouldn't be buying those games for their children. Durrrrrrr I'm pretty sure its at least rated teen, duuurrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Military Intelligence, durrrrrrr.

I'm fairly certain that the worst situation we could possibly come up with in a video game would pale in comparison to actually seeing one of your friends die. No respawns, no shit talking, no coming back. Your friend just died in front of you.
Fuck you for trying to push that responsibility on my games. And I don't even like this damn game. Maybe you assholes should find a different way to solve your fucking problems besides killing each other!
No, no, no. Please do NOT misunderstand what happened.
A fellow editor, Hamza Aziz, has a personal connection with the middle east and the happenings there. After demoing the multiplayer he Twittered that the game had affected him and he wasn't going to buy it. We all prompted him, not out of spite or itlrritation but friendly curiousity, to state what he felt on Dtoid. Then we he did he got a ton of flack.
Mind you, please, please, please, Dtoid and Hamza never ever suggested boycotting the game or what the game was doing was wrong. It was purely an article based on Hamza and his own feelings. He never ever suggested anything even criticizing the game. It was all about Hamza and his feelings.
And it was everyone else who misinterpreted it and frankly it was pretty sad to watch. :/
You're idiot right?...
Hamza said that he didn't like the game, he's not gonna play it, but boyccoting the game?... Bring that article...
Newfags...
SEEMS SOME ARE HYPER SENSITIVE, LIKE THE END OF MY DICK BEFORE I BLOW A LO__.
I lul'd.
@janoDX
Hermes is definitely not new. And if he was way to make him feel welcome. >.>
It'd be pretty odd catching Jeter playing as the Red Sox.
..er no pun intended.
And then, of course, there is the fact that we created/funded the Taliban so they are us and we are them to begin with.
But by all means, internet, freak out about this like you always do.
