If you've got the PC muscle for it, you might want to get in on this -- the MechWarrior: Living Legends MOD for Crysis has hit beta.
Living Legend is a multiplayer mod based in the MechWarrior universe, featuring customizable mechs and battlesuits, along with vehicles like tanks and aircraft. Not sold? Check out the trailer, which is an impressive showcase for what the MOD has to offer.
You can download the beta (which weighs in at 1.45GB) over at FileShack. Everyone else will have to wait patiently for Pirahna Games' official entrance to the series, which is slated to (eventually) hit Xbox 360 and PC. Let's hope it looks half as cool as this.
It stills need a little more polish in my opinion. Played it yesterday and there were quite a few glitches that caused problems for me. Like textures not loading and weapons not firing correctly. Though, it's just the beta and it's free, so I can't expect a perfect mod.
Yeah there are a few snags and crashes with the beta release but they are being looked into :)

Also note that if you crash the server will remember your rank/c-bill count so you don't lose yoour progress during the match. All you have to do is rejoin the server you were playing on and you'll start off with what you had when you disconnected for that round.
Hell I remember the old games on SNES, that's where I started, the game was frankly amazing you'd start in a bar and get missions upgrade your mech and improve it over a period of time. You really started to love your mech.

I really like full-conversion-mods :-) it's like getting a second ( or third ) game for free with the full-game you just bought :-)
That's not true at all! The 3D-ification of Monkey Island 2 test was done in CryEngine!

You need Crysis installed and patched for it to work btw people.
