Mayday! Destructoid Kamikaze t-shirt now available. Also, 3 shirt giveaway! photo

Welcome to the land of the rising hotness in apparel, the land of the robotic games bloggers armed with road-worn laptops and rented cell phones and funny money with holes in it. They're strapped into their figurative fighter planes, ready to collide with the world's gaming capital, Tokyo, for God and Country and Internet.

That's what I'm going to imagine when I rock my new Destructoid Kamikaze T-shirt, now available on SplitReason. Just short of sixteen bones buys you what I think is probably our best-looking shirt yet, and we have you to thank for its do-wanty goodness.

Our Commander General asked the Destructoid community for their input on our Tokyo Game Show 2008 shirt. He took that feedback and relayed it to the poor, under-aged sweatshop workers, whose stomachs grumble from the undercooked gruel they're forced to eat because of us. Pat yourself on the back, right next to that sweet-ass Destructoid logo on the back of this new shirt.

We're not done with you yet, though. We want to make more shirts, so we're looking for your ideas for new ones. Please post your ideas in the comments below.

[Update: Um, where are your comments? How are we going to know who give away the free t-shirts to if you don't comment? One hundred sounds like a good round number, doesn't it? So does two hundred. Maybe three?]

I'm so freaked out. I was at PAX, stood around, witnessing the dtoid sticker being stuck onto the T-shirt with the rising sun design.... I saw birth.. and now I can buy it! Hurray!

Finally, a shirt that speaks to me, the game obsessed japanophile who reads dtoid.

Just like the other 90% of the dtoid audience.

Commission Frank Frazetta to do an picture of Mr. Destructoid standing on a pile of skulls, wielding a gigantic battle axe, with women in leopard skin bikinis clinging to each leg. Then have a dragon breathing fire into a thundercloud-filled sky rising up behind him, lightning crashing all around.

do want very much!, I like how it sorta merges with the idea of the Japinator blog with the rising sun flag but has a giant destructoid head planted over it. Pure 100% Win, as for buying it. Definately thinking about it but my wallet is being rap3d by games at the moment lol.

As for other ideas? Mr Destructoid for president anyone?

I forgot who made the wallpaper I used, but it wasn't me. If we could position it better, maybe clean up the artwork, and have the graphic fade around the edges and into the shirt, that could be cool. Just a thought.

I've always said that Mr. Destructoid punching out Optimus Prime (or just a look-alike, for licensing reasons) on top of the Great Wall of China would be an excellent shirt, and I would buy one.

My idea: Do a simple shirt with a chest pocket, and coming out of that pocket to say hi: Mr. Destructoid.

I've always said that a picture of Mr. Destructoid, in his white suit, sitting in a throne chair, with two scantily clad (or naked with their hair covering their breasts) propped up on either arm of the chair, with a unicorn flying over (or under, just generally around) a rainbow in the background, with the words "Destructoid.com: The Land of Rape and Honey" printed on it, would in fact be the best t-shirt ever.

Try these ideas out:

- Droobies' balls on a T-shirt.
- Remember the Foxtoid News page from this past April? Make a shirt based off that.
- Something based off the Soviet Union. There is a specific picture of Lenin speaking to a large crowd that would look great if you photoshopped the Dtoid Helmet over his head.

I have a few more. I'll think of them in a minute.
