Hell, why not. Well, it's not up to me. But I bet Capcom's Ryota Niitsuma, the producer of Marvel vs Capcom 3, has a say. And he says it's possible.
In an interview with Joystiq, Niitsuma says that they haven't counted the Wii out. It was just that the Xbox 360 and PS3 were a priority. " There's no mindset, personally, within Capcom where we want to go out of our way to avoid Wii or do it only on Wii this time. It's just the flow of development," Niitsuma tells Joystiq.
"Well, we can't get into any specifics, but all I can is that the game we made right now, as it is, it's for Xbox 360 and PS3. We want to see how it does and maybe see where we'll take it from there."
That sounds kind of promising, doesn't it?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I can't imagine Cloak and Dagger or Dazzler being charcters in the original roster, but would definatelt be worth a buck each later on.
capcom said a while back that they were happy with the sales of TvC.
They said that it sold better than they expected it to, so it certainly didn't do bad for them. At this point though, I'd rather them just put it on the 3DS instead, or as well as the Wii. I guess either way would be fine!
If it did come out for the Wii I personally think this would do better than TvsC did sales wise because people actually know who and what the characters are.
I'm Ryan. Nice to meet you. Now you can't say that you don't know anyone :)
Srsly though, TvC is delightful and if it would help anything, I'd pay for MvC3 on the Wii right now.
I'm Trevor. Well Met. Now you know TWO people that own TvC. I'd also buy a WII port of ANY vs game today.
The Dead Rising case taught me how a bad port can be made by system limitations just to be at the rhythm of other consoles.
However, it could do the Ghostbusters trick where they engineered the Wii version of the game in a special style instead of trying to look as "real". They could simply go with the TvC style if they want so bad
PUT IT ON THE 3DS.
Seriously, it just makes so much more sense. If I wanted to play a graphically downgraded version of a game, at least make it portable.
I THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER IF THEY PORT TATSUÑOKO VS CAPCOM FOR XOBX AND PS3 THAT WOULD BE NICE
Personally, I'd love to see a version of MvC3 on Wii (especially since fighting systems aren't CPU-intensive, just the graphics would take a hit). I'd certainly buy it. And I definitely support more people playing more awesome games. Capcom, Niitsuma, make it happen!
Take a breather every once in a while mate, you'll live longer
USING CAPS LOCKS ONLY MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A DOUCHEBAG AND MAKES PEOPLE EITHER CALL OUT OR GLANCE OVER YOUR COMMENT REGARDLESS OF YOUR OPINION
I hate insulting people over the internet but you're an absolute moron if you can't see how much time, money and effort would be put into making 56 separate new move sets and animations in HD. Best case scenario would be repeated animations and attacks everywhere with less stages and general polish and worse case would be a glitchy, unbalanced shitfest of a game that would completely ruin whatever made anyone like Marvel Vs Capcom in the first place.
You still have to steer.
Make that three people you now know. I enjoy TvC.
Also, I would see no issue with the Wii getting MvC3. They could always use more solid fighters.
The correct answer is nobody.
+Wii doesnt really have good fighting games besides TvC(which I have,HAI MAGNALON I'M DAN),Brawl and Guilty Gear(TOO HARD).Naruto fighting games are too easy to master and I don't even want to mention the Bleach/DBZ/Mortal Kombat games...
Any other fighting games I should try or add to me wishlist?
I think it has to do with it only being released on Xbox. I never got to try it. Capcom vs SNK however hd some fans, but it just didn't have too much to make it stand out. IMO, KOF XI is better. Anyway, I would rather have a more polished version of mvc3 with a better roster on 360 and ps3 than a mediocre version on all 3 consoles. TvC is fun, but it's hardly the best fighter this Gen. I'd hate to see mvc3 end up worse off because resources were taken away to get it working on a console where the majority of players wont buy it.
@pedrovay2003 if there is an Iphone version before a Wii version, that would be maddning and hilarious at the same time.
Indeed, damn Wii owners. Just get a 360, they are bloody cheap as chips to buy now, even second hand. Overall, after waiting so many years for MvsC3, I don't want the whole thing compromised, because Capcom want to port it to the inferior debacle that is Wii, in the name of money or fans. Besides, Wii just had TvsC, and while that game was also sweet, I see no 360/PS3 port of that happening anytime soon, while I'd welcome it, I don't expect it.
As for Okami and Zak & Wiki, I count those towards Wii owners being foolish, as both are two excellent games.
Sure I was originally there to pickup Mass Effect 2, but, hey! And yeah, I don't know what the fuck a Tatsunoko is(speed racer was too faggy for me as a kid) but the game is fun as hell! I have a 360/PS3 though, so I will buy MvC3 on an HD console.
I read that the sales were well above Capcom's expectations, so now they're quite interested in the Wii!
Plz, plz, plz, plz release it on Wiiiiii......please?
Anyway, I'm with the group that wants this. I think the Wii's classic controller is the best joypad for fighters on consoles, barring possibly the madcatz Saturn pads for PS3/360, which I haven't used. And fightsticks are another beast entirely.
Point is, I think that if Tatsunoko vs Capcom had been marketed better, it would have had a LOT more sales. A lot of people I know didn't even know it existed until I found out about the Japan-only release, and while it doesn't have as much character pull as a Marvel title would, the gameplay is stronger than any MvC game released so far. TvC wasn't going to sell incredible numbers, being a 'hardcore' game on a 'casual' console, with more than half the roster being completely unfamiliar to most players. The fact that the sales numbers aren't shit means that a Marvel game could do pretty well. I'm sure most of us who bought TvC would by MvC3, especially those who have wiis, but not the HD boys.
I'd rather 30 characters (or less!) and all them be useable, rather than MvC2's cast of 56 characters and only 8 of them be usable.
