Max Payne 1 and 2 get the Xbox Originals treatment photo

Looks like the ESRB listing was correct. Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2 are now available for download on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. They’re both Xbox Originals and carry a hefty price tag --1200 Microsoft Moon Bucks, to be exact.

If you find yourself itching to re-enter the drab world of Max Payne, then you’re probably excited about Max Payne 3. Unfortunately, it won’t be coming until Winter 2009, which is an epoch according to Internet time. So, you may be better off sating your eagerness with these two classic Payne titles.

I haven’t had a chance to download these yet, so I don’t know if they’re busted or buggy like a few of the Xbox Originals available. Are any of you going to bite?

I really can't stand playing these games on consoles...the controls suck and you can't get all the sweet mods people put out for the PC versions.
So nah...I won't be biting on this particular bait.

Sorry, as much as I loved both Payne games, they have not stood the test of time very well. I can wait for part 3.

PC is so much better, in the xbox original, they censored a lot of tidbits of the game that made it cool. Or maybe it was because of memory issues. Also, who doesn't love the Max Payne mods? Hall of Mirrors mod? Kung Fu mod? Katana mod?

@IroN1c: Is it indexed over here? Fortunately I own a Max Payne 1 and 2 PC copy :)

I think i've beaten these games in total around 20 times. I love the series so much. Bought both of these off marketplace today, no bugs or problems. :)

I've had The Fall of Max Payne on download for just over 6 hours now and it's still not completed.

Nothing about these two games on the PSN? I played the first two games on the PS2, why don't they come on PSN? Or I could just...play the two PS2 copies that my older bro has.

Buy them both on Steam for $15 total instead of Xbox Originals for $15 EACH. You could probably find them cheaper in stores or online as well.

@n0brein:
Yeah,I just saw that Max Payne 1 is indeed on the index.
I own both games for the PC too, but I'd like to play them on the big screen.

What a rip off.
You can get both Max Payne 1 & 2 for either PS2 or Xbox for only $12 all together if you get them at gamestop.
