Max and the Magic Marker trailer brings back the awesome photo

A little while back Chad "AMAZING" Concelmo once again discovered the BEST GAME EVAR! What was it this time? A little WiiWare title called Max and the Magic Marker. Think Harold and the Purple Crayon except in videogame form and obviously with a bit more puzzling to it. Basically players take control of Max and the Magic Marker and must draw items and tools to get Max through each level. Chad described it really well as a mix between Kirby's Canvas Curse and Crayon Physics. If Scribblenauts is the Scrabble of gaming then this is the Pictionary.

Back when Chad discussed the game all we had was a very early concept stage, and judging from the new trailer that was just released and can be seen below, a lot has changed. The game looks really nice now whereas before it looked like a bunch of guys designing something in their basement. The physics/drawing puzzles are pretty intriguing and it looks like they've nailed a solid control scheme down. Best of all, when you start drawing with the marker the entire screen pauses and turns into a drawing done by a child. Watch below to understand what I'm saying. In conclusion, I have to agree with Chad that this will be the BEST GAME EVAR!

I've got to say, for all it looks like a glorified flash game to me, it looks pretty damn awesome. If I still had my Wii I'd pick this one up.

Looks like a mash up between Scribblenauts and that flash game Line Flyer.

Did the graphics turn all cartoony and kiddish when the game paused? It looked like that during the see-saw bit.

I wasn't expecting much but that trailer made the game look incredible. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this one.
