It's that time of the year again! Valve has just begun their massive end-of-year sale on Steam, and there are a ton of great deals up. Everything in the store is discounted anywhere from 10% to 75%. TF2 is only $10, Portal is $5, Bioshock is $5; if you've missed out on any big PC releases in the last couple years, now is the time to get them.
Some of the biggest deals are listed here, but since they're claiming that everything in the entire Steam store is on sale you should probably just poke around and see what you can find. Hurry though, everything is back to normal on January 2nd.
I'm probably going to be picking up the Unreal Pack for $20; what are you guys gonna grab?

If he's not playing Team Fortress 2 or getting into arguments about why PC gaming is superior, he's either off having a fancy dinner with lots of expensive wine, or sitting on the Destructoid IRC complaining that's he's not off having a fancy dinner.
Likes: Chrono Trigger, Street Fighter, Steam, everything Blizzard and Valve have ever made, playing Angry Birds on the toilet.
Meet the rest of the team

TO FOLLOWING IS AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ANYONE WHO LIKES PHATTASTIC PC GAMES:
The ENTIRE Dawn of War collection is $30 - FUCKING BUY THIS IF YOU DON'T OWN IT.
So so so so so so good.
Yeah, the deals are AMAZING, and the savings too!! :)
Peggle Deluxe 4.99 USD
Commander Keen Complete Pack 4.49 USD
Heavy Weapon Deluxe 0.99 USD
Reaxxion 0.99 USD
Ultimate Doom 0.99 USD
Trials 2: Second Edition 2.49 USD
Subtotal 15.93 USD
Went through finding all the dollar games, all have so far been worth a dollar as all I've been doing all day is playing these games.
I may gave to get the Unreal Pack when I get home on Sunday. I'm pretty sure that I'm basically just putting it off, because I will inevitably break down and get it.
Also, this is amazing because I just built a new computer last week, and I have plenty more stuff to test it with.
Also, also, Dawn of war is amazing. I didn't pay full price for it and the expansions, but I spent a far sight more than what they're up for now. Great RTS games, if you like the genre you should get them. Coming from basically only playing AoEII and Starcraft, it was amazing to see units shoot and move at the same time.
Man, I have a tendency type a lot more than I intend.
A belated Merry Christmas as well.
I may break and buy more later. Damn my lack of willpower.
Apart from the games above (which I obviously recommend since, after all, I did buy them), I do have some other suggestions. Everyone should get Trackmania United Forever. It's the LittleBigPlanet of PC games - tons and tons and tons of user-made content. I thought Darwinia and Multiwinia were a fantastic deal at $20. At $7.50, you'll make me very sad if you pass up some of the most unique and creative games out there. Flatout Ultimate Carnage is a fun racing game that looks fantastic and plays like Burnout did before Paradise fucked it all up. Well worth the $10 it currently costs.
Halo 3 for $20, Beautiful Katamari $25, and Guitar Hero 3 (With 2 Guitars) $60 today.
Now thanks to steam: Heavy Weapon $1, Reaxxion $1, Peggle Deluxe $5, Bioshock $5, Unreal Pack $20, Trackmania United Forever $20.
Bioshock for $5 is just amazing. I've already played and beat the game but I can't pass it over.
Why no 360 love :(
Because Gabe hates you inferior console users. Almost as much as hates the PS3.
Besides. PC gamers constantly get screwed over on release dates, bad ports, etc. It's about time something favoured us.
Bioshock 4.99
Bejeweled Deluxe 0.99
Opposing Force 0.99
Ultimate Doom 0.99
Doom 2 0.99 USD
Heavy Weapon Deluxe 0.99
Luxor 2 0.99
Reaxxion 0.99
Total: $16.91
I'm really thinking I should probably head back and grab Blue Shift... it is only a dollar, after all... and my netbook loves it some Half-Life.
Blue Shift: 0.99
Earth 2160: 4.49
I'll probably be getting a few games, Fallout 3 for one, and maybe GTA 4.
The Valve complete pack is such a good deal. Even though I own all those games, I still sort of want to get it just because of what a great deal it is!
Bejeweled Deluxe
Beyond Good and Evil
Bioshock
Ultimate Doom
Doom 2
Everyday Shooter
Heavy Weapon Deluxe
I-Fluid
Jade Empire
Luxor 2
Painkiller Gold Edition
Prey
Trackmania United Forever
Trials 2
Unreal Tournament 3
Peggle Deluxe
I feel like such a fucking whore right now... When I'm gonna play this shit, I have no clue.
Reaxxion
I-Fluid
Bioshock
Doom II (Have a CD of Ultimate Doom still)
Trials 2
Shadowgrounds (got Survivor on sale a while back and it's cool)
All for just under $20.
Still trying to decide if I wanna buy Painkiller Gold, I have the original but not the expansion, and it's on CD's so it's annoying to install. Also should go see just what the pay version of Trackmania includes...
And Gabe DID say his favourite class was Boomer.
But really, this sale alone is valves way of saying the PC market is not dead, and it can be sold cheaper then retail.
Basically it seems like a big fuck you to Gamestop.
