Poor humour aside, this looks pretty amazing for a handheld fighter, and so long as the touch screen combo option isn't available for matchmaking it should provide some damn good fights between systems.

Considering my second C-Blog was a fond retrospective of the series, I think it's safe to say I'm excited.

I'm not sure about the combo touchscreen feature (seems kinda cheap to me), but I'm sure I'll love it regardless. Say what you will about the series being cheap fanservice, it's still got one of the most robust 3D fighting engines. Tekken and Virtua Fighter aren't really fit to lick the boots of this series, as far as I'm concerned. Tekken 6 was a damned joke.

I'll probably be getting it, half because I want it and half because I want Tehcmo to know that with or without Itagaki, I still really want DOA5.

I'm not a fighting game fan but I love DOA this will likely be the game I pick up with my 3DS.

Wow it's actually looking crisper than I expected! Man, the fighting genre is back in full strength. I find it hard to believe that for the first time in my life I'm feeling compelled to, in a console launch, buy not only one fighting game, but TWO!

By the way, this is a launch title, innit? If so, it's PilotWings, DoA and Street Fighter for me.

I'd count Dynasty Warriors as a fighting game...

Why does Destructoid stretch out handheld images to the point they look like shit? Make them in their original aspect ratio, damn. You did this with the DS, PSP, and now the 3DS.

I still boggles my mind that a handheld game can look this good and run at a consistent and high enough frame rate. Especially considering that DOA is one of the fastest-paced fighters around (second only to Guilty Gear really), if they pull this off I think it will be quite something to behold.

That said, little disappointed with how they've changed Tina's made costume. I know it's only a little thing, but she's been my main for what, twelve years now? It's nice that they've already shown she's getting a bunch of new throws - critical for her as she had gotten slightly predictable in DOA4 - but I'd rather have the old look back, please. No wrestler has actually worn elbow or knee pads with stars on 'em since 1991 and lace-up pants? The fuck is that about?

So we've got two more. Now that could be ALPHA-152 and OMEGA/Genra, but both of those would be so overpowered I doubt it'll be them. So, two new characters? A guest characetr from Ninja Gaiden? That new girl that popped up in the last DOAX game (Christ I hope not)?

Also of note: this is the first time I've seen Kasumi's age being listed in an English release. Typically she, Ayane, Eliot and Kokoro have been listed as 'N/A' since they always figured America would take issue with 16 and 17-year-olds beating the shit out of each other. Interesting they seem to have dropped that for this release.

Yeah, I want this. Most folks I know haven't really been talking about it but I think it's gonna be cool. Playing as Opoona guy everyday.
