Mass Effect might be more than a trilogy photo

There’s a chance we could see more than three Mass Effect titles. Speaking with 360Zine about new IP, BioWare vice president Dr. Greg Zeschuk said BioWare would continue bringing out the new s--t, but would also continue to “take advantage” of BioWare’s old s--t, or apparently, Mass Effect. “We've said Mass Effect is supposed to be a trilogy,” Zeschuk said, “so you're going to see at least a third Mass Effect, and even more if everything goes well.”

One possible caveat here: we’re pretty sure Zeschuk wasn’t referring to App Store titles or other gonzo downloadables. We imagine he would mention the spin-off Mass Effect: Galaxies as an example if he didn’t mean full retail stuff.

We think after this whole Reaper thing wraps up in Mass Effect 3, the writers of Mass Effect should start telling origin stories. Start with baby Wrex, please. We want to follow Wrex in his awkward tadpole and high school years and see what made him the baddest toad (or whatever) in the galaxy.

Sounds good to me. As long as they commit to the whole "new shit, old shit" balance and continue to tell decent stories, then I'm all good.

Origin stories could really be awesome. I think if ME 2 is good then I will be sold on this series.

Unfortunately, The ME storyline lends itself to an MMO universe type game. That being said, I have a firm rule against pay-for-play games, so I've already resigned myself to never playing a new KotOR title ever again...ME may follow suit if my gut reaction is correct.

In the right light, Wrex is adorable.

Also, what Char said.

What I want to see is the history of the Quarians. Building the geth, their revolt, being exiled into the galaxy and having to scour space for ships and resources.

@Slayer:

Fuck yes, man! The Turian Wars and the way they can't reproduce was the best side-story. That would be a good one.

@MotoRobo as much as I'd like to see your wishes fulfilled, I really doubt that they'll be releasing two entirely different story lines. I'm sorry to put a negative vibe in the conversation, but I'm just hoping they just write a good story and add a good amount of variety in there...

Also, I want an elite covert Salarian agent on my team. Those guys are pretty awesome. I love the way they talk and interact like they're a constant nervous wreck.

One more thing, Wrex dies in the end. There is no other way. *stares intently into your soul*

PrinnyMedic, your posts suck. I wasn't sure if you knew that or not, since you seem to suck so much and all.

Anyway, I'd love to see more Mass Effect. I think after the 3rd title, though, we'll probably want something different. I think Bioware's better with SciFi titles; I still liked Jade Empire though.

@Los255 this is gonna prove i have played way to much mass effect but the turian wars atleast how i remember are humans vs turians, the rachni wars are turians vs rachni and then krogan vs rachni, and this is where the genophage, or the krogans inability to reproduce comes into play, which i agree is a great subplot, but i really want to see humans first contact with aliens and citadel space, and the ensuing war with the turians, even though it was a lame ending with the council just stopping it, but a game about the rachni wars would probably be even better.

Im not sure how well a spinoff of a past event would work. I mean, you wouldn't be able to effect the outcome of certain events since they already happened. And effecting outcomes is one reason why mass effect is so awesome.
On the other hand about what Mabui said. Mass Effect MMO = Win. I think its a better idea than Star Wars since it wont just be people running around with lightsabers and the galaxy of Mass Effect is so rich and complex.

I could easily see a Mass Effect as an MMO. The who Mass Effect universe has endless stories in it. But what I really want to see is a TV series. Shoot it in Vancouver and I'll move there in a heart beat and sign up to be an extra.
