Despite their animators obviously having to go back to the drawing board (I joke!), Microsoft and BioWare have officially announced the release date for their upcoming action role-playing Xbox 360 title, Mass Effect. Mark in on your calendar, and prepare your Thanksgiving meals accordingly -- the game will hit shelves on November 20.
We've said quite a few things about Mass Effect here at Destructoid -- most good, some bad. But you should find yourselves hard pressed not to be excited about this game. BioWare have (for the most part) consistently delivered solid experiences, but in gameplay and narrative -- why would Mass Effect be any different?
The game will retail for $59.99, and is rated "M" for Mass Effect.

This game will flop, you heard it HERE first folks!
I doubt it will flop, I can see it being something of a hit, but it's certainly not for everyone if it's anything like their previous efforts. It has the potential to be a brilliant trilogy, I just hope that Bioware modernise their mechanics quite a bit.

I can't believe how wrong you are. Bioware has done nothing but make hit games: MDK2, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, KotOR, Jade Empire. A game made by this developer with this much hype (it even has a prequel novel) has no chance of failing.
