At this weekend's Emerald City Comic-Con in Seattle, Dark Horse Comics announced that they will be publishing a new ongoing series set in the Mass Effect universe. The title, Mass Effect: Foundation will be written by Mac Walters, who provided writing on Mass Effect 2 and had the lead writing role on Mass Effect 3. I'll let you guys judge for yourselves whether or not that bodes well.

The comics will be including characters tied to the upcoming Mass Effect 3 single-player DLC, Citadel, due out next week.

Mass Effect: Foundation will appear wherever comics are sold on July 24.

We go forward: A bittersweet comic to start your day

Using game mechanics and a pixel art aesthetic to convey a deeper thought is no longer for indie games some of you are sick of. It can be done in comic form. And quite well. It's like a mild La Maison en Petits Cubes, in that I wasn't weeping  heavy for five straight minutes.  It's cute and bittersweet. Good job, Shenanigansen (no relation).more
