Looking to save some cash while ramping up for next week's Mass Effect 2 release? If you haven't explored beyond your Mass Effect disc, here's your chance. The add-ons "Bring Down the Sky" and "Pinnacle Station" are available for 240 MS Points a piece this week only. That's a savings of 160 MS Points a piece; in my mind, translates to one Rock Band song (or $2.00).
Also on sale is Electronic Arts' Battleship for Xbox LIVE Arcade; that'll run you 400 MS Points. It's part of EA's "Family Game Night" package, where the creepy ass Mr. Potato head emcees your board game playing parties. Why does Mr. Potato head have a mustache? What is his upper lip cold? He doesn't have a lip, heisapotatoImeanseriouslyWTF!?

However, anyone who has not gotten Bringing Down the Sky... that is definitely worth playing for that price.
I've heard universal panning of Pinnacle though, it sounds pretty horrible.
BDTS is pretty good though. It takes about an hour or two to complete but is pretty fun regardless.
Pinnacle Station is devoid of any story at all and can only be enjoyable to someone who actually liked the ME combat system and being swarmed by enemies (and not even real ones). Also, only 2 or 3 of the senerios are challenging and those are insanely hard to pass for certain character builds / combinations. Very poorly balanced and the rewards are pretty much useless to anyone beyond mid point in their first playthru.
