Mass Effect appears on Games on Demand, then quickly pulled photo

Our second proper peek at Microsoft’s Games on Demand service was provided by a pre-emptive launch of Mass Effect. Around 4 AM this morning, the Xbox LIVE Marketplace RSS feed listed Mass Effect as a title available for download. Naturally, Microsoft pulled the title (Games on Demand doesn’t launch until this August), but the RSS listing and its juicy details remain.

Oh right, we didn’t mention the juice: the listing has a curious line (as spotted by 360sync).

“Download new systems and worlds to visit!”

If you’re still hot for Mass Effect, then you already know that only one bit of downloadable content has been released. While “Bring Down the Sky” was a decent adventure, it didn’t add multiple “worlds” much less “systems.” So, that can only mean the new and confirmed content will hit before August. Awesome!

Yes, but for how many Microsoft dollars are we looking at for these games? Was shopping for this game and couldn't find it anywhere in Adelaide today, except possibly EBgames but no-one would serve me so i walked out -_-
So i may wait it out depending on prices. Especially if additional content may be bundled.

I never did manage to make love in ME. I hope I get something for that in ME2...

I think you are looking too deep. That's probably just a copywriter trying to sell the title, nothing more.

I'm being pessimistic on this one.

For the uninformed, there are no Space Dollars where these titles are concerned, they will be charged to your credit card in real money!

It's possible that some content had broken away from ME2, and is DLC for ME, right?

@ lastSKYsamurai

Here's what you missed:

Female Shepard (in trademark man-voice): Ready for round two?
Liara: Shepard!!!!

Oh the disappointment of the ME sex scene.

Anyhoo I'm skeptical about these "new" worlds. If they're anything like the million other worlds in ME than I can do without more navigating of rocky, uninspired terrain in a frustratingly crap vehicle...why, oh why did the Mako have jet-packs when they did NOTHING?!?!

Fingers crossed there is a new pimped-out Mako in ME2...or better still, no Mako at all...

I think a bicycle would of been better than a Mako.. Yeah, a bicycle with two chainsaws on it like in DR2..
