From what I can tell there will be a lot of people in the same boat.
I think the real problem is its an anime about Vega, a character most people don't care about.
The video above just looks like super generic anime XYZ.
Could be better than anything animated from Dead Space though. That stuff was atrocious.
The fans overall weren't interested in another human character when Mass Effect has such a diverse cast. Why have another Space Marine when you could've had any number of other species and character types?
Also that narration is SO GENERIC:/
Art style doesn't grab me but it doesn't turn me off either.
Two very shallow reasons.
Give me another Ghost In The Shell!!!!
Also, something about the movement in this vid that doesn't look right. As long as the drawings aren't moving, they look ok. But when they move, it looks like a bunch of pieced together smaller drawings that don't fit smoothly together.
And he's not even in the same star system of bad that that reporter lady dwells in. Think of how horrendous an anime adaptation of her life would be.
the team that did Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex and others have NOTHING to do with this.
this is just a stupid marketing ploy by Funimation(who is bad at making animation, great dub and subs though) to lure people in since Production IG makes one of the best animation ever.
despite the criticism of the ending. you can't deny that Mass Effect has one of the richest lore in a sci fi series.
it deserves more than this.
but will see how this folds out.
also why not about Kaidan??? or Miranda, or even Aria??
why Vega of ALL people?!?!?!
Oh, THAT Vega. No thanks, I'll pass.
Mass Effect 3 was mildly entertaining, if a bit bland, as long as you played it in 1 hour long bursts expecting a flashy action game with "RPG elements".
As a third iteration to the Mass Effect series, it was a complete disgrace.
Unless they let Cortez be a constant character so they can bicker like housewives.. Really the only way Vega was worth bothering with most of that time.
Do you hear that hum? Is it just me?
Honestly would die if they gave us a Thane Krios anime. I'd really like a better look at life as an alien, on alien worlds, in this universe, without outright conflict hanging over their heads, rather then more "Oh, we're humans, lets follow the human's around all the time" (Mass Effect feels kind of racist in that effect.. Xenophobic?)
Thane being an Assassin gives us a way to have tons of action, drama and other stuff, without sacrificing much when it comes the core of the series. Tons of depth and conflict with that character that was completely overshadowed by everything else going on in the games he was in.
Hell, I would watch an hour of Kelly feeding the fish before I would watch an anime starring Vega.
