I'll watch anything once...Ok, not true. I'm never going to watch RomComs. But I'll try this at least.
As long as it doesn't look like the anime krogan on the screen in the security room from the Kasumi DLC, I'm interested.
I;ll watch it. The aliens are the Japanese style anyways. (Humanoid, and variations off of animals.)
I have a feeling this is going to be a flop like every other big western franchise that's been adapted into an anime. What makes Bioware games special is the writing and characters, and I doubt the folks at Bioware are going to be the ones writing the script for this.
I am hesitantly hopeful for this. The Valkyria Chronicles anime was quite good, but that was by Aniplex. My biggest fear is for the voice acting, if it's going to be a North American release.
I really love the Mass Effect universe, but I'm not an anime fan by any stretch of the imagination. I'll need to see some more of this.
Im guessing it wont feature shepard (male or female) as it wont be MY Shepard. Still, I'll take all the Mass Effect I can get.
Ah, everyone and "their" Shepard... Every custom made Shepard looks like crape IMHO. Tried that character creator for like three hours, gave in and went default. I think I'd rather have a WELL DONE movie. This is a cash in. Big surprise, EA. But I'm a mega-huge BioWare fanboy, so I'll take anything they'll give me.
I'll watch it, but won't buy it. I like the Mass Effect games, but I don't support companies whoring out their titles any which way they can.
Honestly, this would be really quit cool if they pulled it off right, sort of like Gotham Knight. I mean imagine, instead of focusing on Shepard, we could have a bunch of short vignettes based on other aspects of the universe.
Like one section focus on a Turian's multiple attempts to woo his cute Quarian childhood friend.
Or a Salarian and Elcor's attempt to have a decent philosophical/political conversation.
Or maybe like that part in Gotham Knight, and have a bunch of different alien kids in the citadel talk about supposed "stories" about Shepard and his amazing tasks, ranging from that he's actually a robot (sorta true...) to that he's seduced dozens of women across the galaxy like some sort of intergalactic James Bond (...actually, sorta true as well).
While the Mass Effect games aren't particularly written very well, what it is very good at is character and world building. When you create a world as expansive as the Mass Effect one, with such a variety of different kinds of beings, the possible stories are limitless.

I'll wait for the reviews. The only video game turned anime I can half watch is Halo Legends and thats because Bungie did two of the episodes themselves.
Because it's Mass Effect, I'm excited for this! Though EA has a track record now with animes based off their franchises, and the last one I remember, Dante's Inferno, wasn't very good. Just hope that it at least stays true to the game more or less.

Considering that Mass Effect is M-rated, it's a fair bet that the anime will be Seinen-styled rather than Shounen (or Shoujo as that silly IronShrineMaiden person played around with), so most of those tropes that some folks fear will infiltrate their precious sci-fi pastiche won't even be considered.
If anything, it's more worthwhile to worry that it'll become too grim,gritty and joyless. Shepard might just turn into a coldblooded Infiltrator sniper of few words who only is capable of two expressions. If there are any sex scenes, Shepard clearly won't be enjoying it, doing it only s/he is compelled to fill some hole inside of her/his heart.
