People aren't saying they are boycotting it because it's not on android they are saying they want it on android so they can buy it because they don't use iOS. Yes people there are people on this planet that don't use iOS.
It's utter bullshit that this app doesn't work on 2nd gen devices or below. It's not that hardware intensive. Fuck you EA.
No Android, no buy, but I don't even have Android. I just know I'd rather go without something like this than buy an Apple product and deal with iTunes, iOS, and every other freedom-robbing piece of software that awaits.

I'll buy my music through iTunes when they offer 320 kbps or higher music. Until then, I'll stick to ripping CD's and Bandcamp. Also, iTunes is definitely freedom-robbing. I don't mind using the App Store but I'd love if it wasn't such a closed system.

Proprietary format, iDevices are REQUIRED to connect to a computer through it, memory hog -- Yes, yes it is freedom-robbing. I would actually consider an Apple device if they implemented a straight USB mode like oh, I don't know, EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE PLANET HAS.

Also, I just tried the app on a friend's iPod 4 (That's what it's called, right?), and it's pretty nice. It ran a little slow, but I'm sure anyone who likes Mass Effect will eat it up.

They got rid of a lot of those requirements in iOS5. You can do all the setup without ever connecting to iTunes or even creating an Apple ID. There are plenty of alternatives to iTunes now as well that will let you move music about on the device.

Not yet out in Europe, at least not my region, but hell, getting it soon just like Infiltrator. And why so much hate for iOS? Android is cool and all but iOS is not the greatest threat to humanity... the Reapers are! ;)
This app is pretty lame. The "missions" are nothing more than "tap this and wait for this many minutes for it to be completed so you can collect your half a percent galactic readiness." Then you get silly messages from your squadmates updating you on shit you did in the game and one-touch access to the ME3 twitter feed (labeled as "news" lol). The only thing worth a fuck in this app is having the codex in your pocket for some on-the-spot Mass Effect trivia, and that shit's all the way at the bottom.

Guys... really? Do you have to use EVERY article you see that's even remotely about Mass Effect 3 as a platform to proselytize your beliefs about the ending? We get it. You hated it. Fine. I'm inclined to agree with you, sir. I hated the ending as much as the next guy (maybe more), but I'm already tired of hearing about it. How am I supposed to move on from this if people keep bringing it up? It's like my grandma died a couple days ago and I'm starting to feel kinda better but people keep walking up to me and telling me my grandma died and telling me how fucking awesome she was until the last five minutes - when she started convulsing, puking, and spewing diarrhea allover her hospital bed as she choked down her final raspy breaths. I'm trying to remember my grandma for how amazing she was. I don't want to remember her nightmarish finale. Let's take a breather, guys. It's not like they aren't going to sell us the real ending through DLC. My grandma will be like Jesus! :D

Yeah, man, I actually enjoyed the shit out of it. The story's not that great, but the gameplay is some of the best in any iOS TPS. I just wish it was longer.

Great news for iOS device owners who want to get their galactic readiness beyond 50% without resorting to multiplayer.
In order to get the data pad, you MUST sign up for Origin, delete Steam from your PC if you have it, and pay EA $10 for an online pass even if you have no games that need one.
Love the "no android, no buy" comments since one of the main reasons apps don't hit android is because so many people don't pay for their apps. Why waste development money on something that is just going to get pirated to hell and back?
