In a recent look at the Adept class in Mass Effect 2, we learned that the space wizard could twist and angle its biotic fireballs in order to drill enemies behind cover. But the Adept isn’t the only class that can pummel the hidden villain -- the Engineer can use Combat Drones to do the same. Just think of the devices like roving mechanical and AI-powered fireballs specific to the Engineer.
Or don’t. It’s your call. Regardless, the above is a solid look at the Engineer -- a class that employs tech power to achieve victory rather than simple shotgun solutions. A Combat Drone is a great example of this, but the Engineer’s ability to freeze and incinerate its victims, as well as hack its robotic enemies are even better ones.
We guess space engineers in the ME follow-up won’t be carrying around wrenches. Kind of a bummer now that we think about it.
really the most coherent thing i can say about this game is something along the lines of POJPIHp[hjspojg;owkhjw;lhjw[hPOj[pjPOSJE:GLJWE:GOJOG;JWG;'OJWE;'LGJ: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!1!1!!1!!111!!!!
MAN the classes that mass effect has are looking really good. After i saw the adept, i was all like im soo gunna pick him. Then i see this guy and im just flabbergasted by how awesome he is. I wonder whats coming next? also, did they explain what was gunna happen with my original shepard?
Wow. I was just a basic Soldier class before but engineer looks damn good fun. I'm hoping they allow you to swap classes between ME and ME2 even if your transfering your save data of your Shepard. Maybe he had a mid-life crisis and decided to take on another special?
That's good, because the Engineer sucked in the last game, almost as much as the Sentinel. I still prefer Vanguard/Nemesis or Adept. There's something to be said for running straight into a firefight and pummelizing everything around you with a shotgun and black holes you create with your mind.
It has been confirmed by the devs that you will be able to change both your class and appearance even if you are transferring a save.
@Arkhon
The engineer didn't suck in the first game, it just wasn't a damage dealer. Between Neural Shock and AI Hacking you could disable your foes while you had damage dealers like Ashley and Wrex pick them off.
I already played as the engineer on the first Mass Effect, so maybe I won't go the same rout again. Even though these new skills sound good.
I was thinking of going either the Adept or Sentinel way this time. Biotic skills always looked fun.
Come on the Soldier is the best... Use of all weapons, heavy armor ( which kicks all the other armor's butt) A buttload of health and a lot of sheilds.

Cannot wait to dominate the Geth using the Engineer.
!!!1!!1!
Same haha. Engineer looks awesome as hell this time around.
