Mass Effect 2’s Grunt seems to like taking orders from Commander Shepard -- at least, if those orders are to maim or annihilate something or someone.
And we’re willing to guess that Shepard won’t be telling Grunt to do other things, like wash the new Normandy’s dishes or whatever. Considering such, it seems like the relationship won’t suffer as the game progresses. (Plus, we're pretty sure Shepard knows how sensitive Krogan skin is.) Then again, we didn’t see the epic Wrex scene in the original Mass Effect coming. We'll just have to see if he's so cooperative in the game.
I hate to say it, but I'm kind of meh about Grunt. I may use him in my party simply because he's a Krogan, but Wrex is and always will be my favorite hardened badass alien with four nuts. Wrex had personality, grit, and a damn good sense of pragmatic humor. Compared to all that, Grunt comes off as...shallow and dumb.
Like I said before, I seriously hope not everyone in Shepard's new group is a sociopath or a serial killer. So far the only people who look relatively sane are the two boring humans, and I refuse to use humans in my party out of principle.
I was upset when I had to kill Wrex in the original ME. So on my second play through I specifically went out of my way to save him, and get the Krogan partner achievement.
I hope the crew is not as artificial badass (read: dumb and shallow) as they are promoted in the videos. But hey it will end in a suicide mission, at least this way nobody would have regrets to let those badass mofus die. b
As far as i know you cant have ME1 Characters in your Party, since they could die and are needed for ME3.
You may meet them, but they wont join your Party. There is an article here on DDOID. IIRC its the preview. Or every other ME2 preview.
Yeah, Grunt...About me telling you to kill? I meant go sit right in the bowels of my ship where Tali was, so I only ever have to see you when I want some Codex filling.
You can't have any possible love interest from ME1 as an ME2 party member (as Bioware said, so they can be sure to be available in ME3) Obviously, Tali is a party member in both games.
Yah know this was one of the silliest character profiles. The Thane one and that pscyho chick were cool but this Krogan sounds like a Babelfish translation from Krogan to English. Wrex was so much cooler and he didn't take shit from no one.
