Ugh, I'm a PS3 owner and I absolutely love Mass Effect. Apparently we have another Dtoid editor who is completely oblivious to the fact that these games are also on PC.

I have a problem with games that have far more interesting stories than the actual gameplay itself.

@Dv8thwonder- What!? I would perfer story over gameplay. Someone could make the best shooter gameplay ever but with out a reason to see what will happen next, I'll just won't see a reason to play more. (I never make it to high ranks in online shooters for this reason)

I have a 360 and played ME2 for about 10 hours, dont own it. But I think I'll buy ME2 for PS3 since it looks like a good package.

Mouse and Keyboard or at least Move support needs to be a part of this single player game. It has no need for an artificial skill nerf to keep the console multiplayer 'balanced' for the halo consumerbase. Without that it is a $75 coaster and many will still prefer the PC version.

Aren't there enough nerds at Bioware to understand that? Do we need to send more over-30 nerds who've used a PC to Bioware?

The PS3 is perfectly capable of supporting a mouse. I cannot imagine programming it to work would be challenging. Yet no FPS or adventure games on the console support it. Maybe it's Sony's secret rule or something. I can't imagine it's just laziness or misinformed market studies on the part of every single developer.

I can't wait to try the demo and see how much better the graphics are. I can't imagine buying it for the PS3 though because I prefer the xbox controller for shooters. And I've invested so much time with my characters I don't want to start over from scratch.

Playing the demo, and unless I played both versions side by side I really don't notice a difference. It's there but it's all in the details. But something that I don't like is that the PS3 version has quite a bit of screen-tearing, which is very disappointing. I may not double-dip after all.

@Dv8thwonder - While I only somewhat agree with you, in all fairness, this is one of this times where the story is not a separate element from gameplay.

Gameplay and story are intertwined in Bioware games, both affect each other.

They don't affect each other as deeply as I'd like, but not everyone can make a Deus Ex, apparently.

I refrain from name calling, but the interviewer/author of the article here doesn't seem like a very bright person when it comes to writing and speaking out loud using the English language. Watching this guy, who knows nothing about video games--or science apparently--conduct this interview gives me hope that I can somehow get a job as a doctor or a airplane pilot based solely on my ability to bullshit my way through any completely foreign situation. Shame on you Destructoid.

As much as a PS3 guy as I am, I must say that I think the 360 version is better. The PS3 version has a slight choppiness to the framerate, there is a lot of screen-tearing, and it doesn't seem to be using any sort of consistent Msaa - some stuff looks 4xMsaa some 2xMsaa, and some looks to be Quincux Msaa, and a lot of stuff looks horribly jaggy with no Msaa.

I've already played this game anyways so I'm skippin it, there are way to many exclusives for the PS3 coming out anyways. Damn, I was really hoping for something stellar.

I got the demo dumbshit, it just came out today.

I hate screen tearing. I don't remember any in the 360 version. If this is true for the retail copy ps3 owners are getting hosed.

Yeah I don't remember any screen-tearing in the 360 version. I got a feeling that they've got new tech and ME2 for the PS3 was the first use of that tech. Basically, it's a first draft and when ME3 comes out they will probably have everything optimized.

Glad to know you believe the company marketing the title to a new audience over your own eyes. Try it for yourself, you'll see what he's talking about. If the demo is any indication, then the PS3 version is the weakest of the three versions.

When you've got rose-tinted glasses for anything by a single company [in this case Song] it's pretty difficult to stop making moronic comments...besides, with those glasses on how is he going to see "with his own eyes' anyway?

As for the demo, I haven't played it yet, doubt I'll buy this PS3 version, but I'll check it out just for comparison, but it really wouldn't surprise me if the game is worse on PS3 - they're trying new tech, so I doubt it'll be as optimized as the Mass Effect 2 engine.
