Secret Wars II was the first "big event" comic series that I ever followed from first-to-last issue, so to think that I might be able to relive the story in game form has me feeling fully psyched. In case you don't know, the series is about an omnipotent, muscular, Michael Jackson look-a-like named The Beyonder who takes over the Marvel Universe like that God-kid did in that one episode of the Twilight Zone. Does that sound awesome to you?

Maybe it's an acquired taste.

I guess that the real draw of the Secret Wars is, like the Civil War and the Infinity Gauntlet events, the series is just a big excuse to get all of Marvel's biggest names together for a big fight. Sounds like good videogame fodder to me. I just hope this isn't another Ultimate Alliance game. I think that cash-cow has been milked rotten at this point.

Is Marvel planning a "Secret Wars" game? [Siliconera]
