Significant layoffs at Disney Interactive also rumored

The Wall Street Journal reports there are indeed plans for characters from the Marvel and Star Wars properties to be brought into Disney Infinity. That's the good news here. Take a moment to make the most of it and reflect on who you'd want to get the full figurine treatment.

Now, here's the bad news: the publication has also heard that layoffs -- potentially to the effect of several hundred -- are imminent at Disney Interactive. With Disney's quarterly financial results scheduled for Wednesday, odds are we'll find out more later this week.
