Addressing the rumors that Gears of War would be coming to the PlayStation 3 in the future, as well as lingering gossip that Epic and Microsoft have bad blood between them, Epic's Mark Rein recently confirmed that the words of the fishwives were "complete bull****".
"This story is complete bull****. I emailed the site and asked them to take it down. We're very happy with our relationship with Microsoft. If it weren't for them Gears wouldn't be the huge hit it has become."
The interesting thing is Rein's statement that Epic are happy with Microsoft, despite the claims of many that the opposite is true, with frustrations exacerbated by that whole "Microsoft charging for stuff that Epic wanted to give away for free" business. He could of course be blowing smoke up The 'Soft's backside, but it's not like the current darlings of American games development to keep their thoughts to themselves.
Personally, as long as Gears of War keeps coming to the Xbox 360 now and in the future, then it can go get released on the Commodore 64 for all I care. Hopefully Microsoft and Epic continue to make out behind the bike shed for a long time to come.

As an aside, is there any reason they aren't releasing for the PS3, other than their relationship with MS?
one 10 year old Sony fanboi started it and all the other Sony fanboys belived in it, for they still have not a single reason to justify that 600$ investment. If im a Sony loyalist im going to spread that rumor as well, what else am i gunna do with my bluu-ray player? fold @ home?
But if the PS3 actually, you know, does well, then I'm sure they will make games for the system.
get the full scoop :) http://www.youtube.com/v/wlcd8l5RTKg
reason being is they being super smart. M$ wanted a super exclusive on their system, so they invest $$$ for GoW, which now Epic using the newly found $pon$ore$hip to invest on UT for the PS3. nice sneaky way to make profit$ using M$.
"oh noes he didnt!" :O
"GoW CONFIRMED for PS3!! Updated for internet matlockery!"
Then have him edit and rewrite it so its like "Well, in 2010, we'll see who is laughing, hurrr"
I love having my own pet stalker.
It's pretty damn awesome, actually. You know you're writing for the big boys when you can earn troll stalkers.
He was also a bit down on Vista, but who isn't?
Same goes for nintendo.
Do you think MS would change the way they do (not free) the DLC? They need money (all they can get) to cover all the losses since the first Xbox and maybe they understand that this not-free mentality may counterfire as soon as Sony begins to "make their DLC free". But since Sony has little to no DLC M$ can have their way and charge whatever they want.
So, will Sony eventually make M$ offer their stuff for free when the DLC platform on both ends is up and running? Obviously its great for us that Sony make free DLC, but would M$ accept *sigh, resignation* and offer free DLC to compete or they are just that type of company that just want to nickel and dime us to poverty?
