Countless sequels and more on the way can make a man tired. You can't expect him to stomp goombas all day for entertainment, he needs variety. Sometimes that means jumping over flaming barrels and destroying small animals with hammers. Other times, a 25 cent game of old-school Tron is enough. We ran into the hearty cosplayer in the Videotopia (Orlando) exhibit who was quick to threaten us with a fireball he kept handy in his pocket. Although Mario is a man of many sinister secrets, he's a ham for the camera.
On a sidenote, I didn't realize it at the time, but I'm practially an overall strap and mustache away from his costume. I leveled up in self-dork awareness today. The first step is admitting you have a problem. I bought a sport coat today with a bunch of skulls on it; that should do the trick.
