Mana Khemia 2 gets a PSP version already? photo

The absolutely lovely Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy is set to come to our PlayStation 2's late next month, thanks to RPG bringer-overer NIS America. Before it has even landed here, Japan gets word of a PSP port, and it's scheduled to release at about the same time.

According to Japanese retailer Gamestar, this port comes by way of Idea Factory, and will contain a large volume of extra content. Siliconera reminds that the PSP port for the first Mana Khemia came with a two player mode and extra alchemy ingredients. That's fine, but I'd be happy with a portable version as is.

If I had to guess, I'd say that NIS America would eventually bring this over. Hell, we know the localization for it is mostly done already.

Mana Khemia 1 psp port is a technical glitchfest, slow load times and crash. I couldn't beat the end boss because it was always crashing. I am getting the PS2 version of Mana Khemia 2 for sure.

If the psp port is coming over, I hope gust doesn't work on it. Mana Khemia 1 was horrible on the psp. It froze on me numerous times, and I always got a seemingly random voice at start. :\

it would be nice if the game being released for the PS2 had the extra content. sadly that won't be the case.

I finished the first one on PSP but the tech issues were annoying. Will definitely be getting the sequel on PS2.

Mana Khemia PSP was only good if you DOWNLOAD it from the marketplace instead of getting the UMD version of it. Loads faster, rarely crashes (although it did crash on me twice.) and most of all: Playable.

It's still not as fluid as it's PS2 counterpart but at least it's portable, plus you get what you pay for lol.
