Videogame-related proposals are just so damn amazing. When you have great proposal scenarios like the one from Portal 2 involving the voice actor for GLaDOS getting on board, or the amusing Claptrap from Borderlandspresenting someone with the big question in his own unique way, it's easy to see why.
You might think that a game like Left 4 Dead 2 isn't fit for a proposal, I mean the zombies are scary and the game's atmosphere isn't exactly ideal to ask for someone's hand in marriage, but somehow map creator "RT Frisk" has made it happen for YouTube user EGBTMagus and his special girl.
You can tell the girl became dumbstruck at what was happening when she suspected that picking up a gnome might have been the reason why the level suddenly ripped apart. Doesn't that just make you awwwwwww?
Very cute, Congrats to them. Very funny that the video cuts off after she says you're kidding. It'd be funny to see here character jump up and down while she screamed yes over voip and their avatars moved close to nuzzle suggestively or whatever they do.
I am VERY nerdy and I found this to be extremely geeky to the point that I actually laughed. That "You're Kidding" translates into "Wow, how did I fall in love with such a huge loser that would actually think this is romantic? Guess I'll have to marry this man-child out of pity because if I don't, know one else will."
Really nerdy, but cute. Not something I would personally do, but to each their own. Kind of wish the video didn't suddenly end before her actual answer, though apparently the "yes" bit was in person and off-mic.

That's a rather unfortunate interpretation.
Dude, that was awesome, well done! Congratulations to both of them and may both their futures include endless hours of Borderlands 2, L4D3 and whatever else their hearts desire!
I think it's the coolest thing ever when gaming can be a means of couples spending quality time together. To each their own.
Call me heartless or judgmental or whatever, but this was actually depressing. Nevermind that I feel slightly sorry for him for thinking this was a good idea, but that "You're kidding" sounded a lot like disappointment and zero appreciation for all the time he put into this. Maybe she's just awkward, but that stung even from here.
Looks like people don't like reading youtube descriptions. They met in L4D.
"She did say "YES" after the "You're Kidding part?", it was just cut off the game since at that point I was already down on one knee with the ring . It was a huge surprise for her since she was not expecting it till late next year. We were playing together in the same room, she is a huge gamer like myself so it wasn't like I made her play a game she has never played before, she actually has more hours clocked in L4D1/2 then anyone else I know. It's her favorite game and the game we actually met through, which is why I chose it as my medium to propose. The game holds a special meaning to us."

The beginnings were just like this, except with more falling
