Champions Online is an MMORPG I plan to spend a lot of time with. Late this afternoon Cryptic Studios -- the developer of the title -- released a new trailer for the game that exclusively deals with the creation of the nemesis character.
After forging your own unique hero, you’ll be tasked with creating his or her arch nemesis. These powerful baddies will challenge you throughout the Champions Online experience and probably shadow your character as he grows and learns new abilities. I plan to create Ron Howard. You may choose someone or something decidedly less evil.
Hit the break to check out the trailer. News on Champions Online will probably heat up soon. Strategy Informer (via Giant Bomb) reported earlier that the game is set to hit PC on June 14. That’s not too far away, folks. Get pumped.
My nemesis will be a guy who weighs 100 lbs, doesn't shower, unemployed, wears a skin colored suit, and carries around a sign with PETA on it while moaning and groaning about Harp Seals.
The villain customization looks pretty sweet. But a shame you can't play as a villain and customize an arch enemy hero. Or maybe they're going to release an expansion pack, Villains Online? But how will they work each individual arch-nemesis you create for each hero into the actual game missions? This is a MMO game, so I'm not sure. The best arch-nemesis would of course be Satan. I mean who could be worse than that?
SephirothX: there was an ingame reason for the cape thing. namely they didnt have the tech for them at release and therefore built an in-lore reason for the lack of capes into the plot.
Sides, if capes was all you cared about, then you'll sure enjoy it when jack starts throwing fits the second anyone goes away from his "vision" for the CO game and he starts nerfing shit everywhere.
I want to play this in the worst way..I want a good superhero game so bad :(( BUT!! I want dibs on Jon Reremy for my super villain! Because Ron Jeremy could never be a villain...that man is a saint and lives life drenched in the holy light straight from heaven. Well, maybe just heaven's butterfly lighting used to make the fatter saints look good.
I enjoy CoH, it's good but it's horribly sparse - hardly anyone still plays it. Not only does CO look more fun, it's CoH and then some, and the character customisation looks awesome!
Hardly anyone? dude. theres still tons of players. especially since i14 hit and the architect box came out and steam distribution and we've had a rather large influx of new players.
Just because the game doesnt have wow's numbers doesnt mean the game is empty. I play on like the third largest server and rarely if ever have trouble finding groups.
Well I understand the tech reasons. But those reasons have been resolved since then. Plus in all honesty, some superheroes just look fucking retarded without capes and not having them as an option would be stupid. It would be like not allowing a person to have a cowl.
