Make some ch-ch-changes in Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition

3:30 PM on 05.26.2012     by Raz Rauf

Though The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition came out over a month ago, full of tweaks and additional content,  the guys at Warner Bros. and CD Projekt are still trying to keep the PR train going.

As level designer Jonas Mattsson states, CD Projekt's aim in life is to create complex and wonderful RPGs. For them, there are two pillars to ensure this. One - to create a very interesting story. And two - give players choices that will have impactful consequences on every facet of the game in some way or form, whether it be the fate of a particular character no matter how big or small they are in regards to the central plot, the places you are able to visit and what will surround you when you get there, and the many possible outcomes during and at the end of your journey.

The video shows a small snippet of the possible differences that can occur whenever you make a key decision, some overtly visible, others very subtle. On the one hand, seeing all these possibilities is a sight to behold and is something in my mind CD Projekt should be commended for by providing us with such rich replayability value and illustrating their passion towards their games. On the other hand, it's frustrating to know that I'll probably never see most of these endings myself as I simply don't have the time. And watching them all on youtube doesn't count folks.

What do y'all think? You a fan of such intricacies? Or are these just cosmetic touches that you don't care about?
