That trailer was fantastic. Less CG bullshit and more gameplay! I can't wait to see more of Revengeance. Platinum is probably my favorite Japanese developer outside of Nintendo right now.
This, Tomb Raider and Dishonored were great showings. Everything else is bleh until I see gameplay.

despite it has some interesting mechanics, i kinda like the more hunter vs predator style they showed back in 2010.
still will keep an eye on this one.
also it would be cool if we had a stealth game with augmentations(like the ones Raiden is using) it will be like Deus Ex Human Revolution only with sword cutting etc..

It looks like this game will fill in a part of the MGS story that I really wanted to know about - the transition from the mostly-normal world of MGS2 to the crazy, war economy world of MGS4.
I mean, I do hope the slice'n'dice mechanics are great, but I'm really going to be playing this for the story.

Horribly written trailer with some questionable direction. Still from what I did gather, it looks really fun, I remember I was one of the peeps who was in a real bad mood when it's new direction was debut, but now I'll just take it for what it is (or looks like), amazingly over the top fun.

Hey, I'm the same about MGS4! I loved it and think it's one of the top games of this generation, but I can't bring myself to play it again for the life of me.

Screw all the haters, this game is going to be a beast just from this nice gameplay trailer. This is now on my must have list.
Now THAT is an action Metal Gear game I want. Although it's a shame Kojima Productions couldn't get to grips with developing the game, Platinum Games look like they're gonna knock it out of the park with this one.
Pretty neat trailer. I can imagine myself interrupting the story to just walk around and slice things into tiny pieces.
The gameplay and character design(main antagonist especially) look sick but I guess expecting them to dial down the forced campy/cheesy soundbites and music tracks is asking too much :/

Platinum is a good developer and all, but goddamn this game is going entirely in the wrong direction. It will rape the storyline of Metal Gear. Metal Gear Solid 4 didn't really make too much sense considering the nano machines, but it was enjoyable to watch still. This leaves me no hope for an interesting storyline, especially with the rap intro. Just get it over with and make Raiden bald and the game into a first-person shooter.
God that looked fucking ridiculous. Not even in that strangely engaging way Metal Gear is ridiculous. I mean actually, literally ridiculous. That was fucking horrendous.
Mark my words: this game will be the Snake's Revenge of our generation. It'll come out, it'll be shit, Kojima will make it non-canon, and we'll all forget that it ever happened as soon as the next real Metal Gear game gets announced. Just like we would have if this shit didn't get trapped in development hell before Peace Walker released.
