Make custom stages in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Brawl getting delayed until February is so totally worth it now. Out of all the new things Brawl was going to offer, never did I once expect a Stage Builder. You can make the stage as big as you want, add whatever background pattern, what music will play, and add whatever you want into the stage itself. You can try out the stage to see how it will feel on the fly too. You can make as many stages as you like too since it all gets saved onto the SD card.

Not only that, but you can also send stages to your friends. You can send your stages to Nintendo too and they've made a system where Nintendo will send you one stage a day automatically if you want. The stage you receive however will be replaced with another stage the next day oddly enough.

This is easily one of the biggest piece of news to come out of the DOJO.

I'm certainly not minding the delay much at all with Nintendo adding in all these cool features.

I still am upset about the delay. But I know for a fact once it comes out all will be forgiven.

Then me and Nintendo can have cuddle parties.

This is easily the greatest thing I have ever read -- way better than that "Get into Heaven for sure" link I clicked that one time.

Nothing on that page would get someone into heaven....

Hamza: "Brawl getting delayed until February is so totally worth it now."

That's exactly what I said to myself when I saw this this morning. I would have taken an even bigger delay (please, no... I'm just saying...) if I knew this was gonna be a part of the game.

What's the big deal about the delay? We have GH III and Super Mario Galaxy to keep us busy until then.

Holy crap! This has the potential to become an amazing Wii community feature along the lines of Halo 3’s Forge, or the films in skate. I can’t wait to see what people come up with. I wonder...can we use our own music for the stages? Someone needs to get an in-depth interview with Nintendo about this...

And so many of you doubted there would be online play in this game, and now we get that one better.

oh man I dont think you canput your own music, and I fear that this feature will be really limited...... it doesnt show more than 3 sizes and 3 backgrounds... and they look like 'shoot the target' quality...

still this + your own video feature = win

Hopefully, we'll be able to save the video clips to the SD card in addition to the levels giving Nintendo a 1up on Halo's media playback, even if it is only 3 minutes of footage.

When I was checking the update this morning, I was expecting another character profile or some music samples again, but instead this came up. Best update so far, especially for a Monday. I would, however, like to have the option to keep maps I download from Nintendo, if they happen to be any good.

No, you can't use your own music. Read the source.
And from what they said that might be an early version, so I don't really think we're seeing everything it has to offer atm. maybe.

Smash Bros. is Nintendo's Halo, and the value of Brawl's package will rival Halo 3. If only I could believe the online communities will be comparable.

This is excellent. I will undoubtedly only make gigantic stages because that's where Peach really shines.

Eek! A level editor! Now all of my dreams come true.

Except there's still nothing about how Miis would be implemented! I want to play as my Mii on Brawl at least once.
