It's amazing how, even though one can talk about videogames and follow the industry seven days a week, some pretty hefty titles can still manage to bypass the personal radar. Namco Bandai's Majin & The Forsaken Kingdom for 360 and PS3 is one such game. No idea it existed until this morning, but now I want it a lot.

With an atmospheric look not dissimilar to Shadow of the Colossus, but with what seems like a more endearing and heartwarming story as opposed to a bleak and depressing one, Majin has potential to be a terrific game. This new trailer was released very recently. If, like me, you somehow managed to not hear about this game, do check it out!

It looks great. However, they should make the main character a kid. While they are at it they should make the companion a cat dog bird.
Seriously, I'm looking forward to this as I liked folklore and this looks great.

Looks good, and I am pleasantly surprised that the PS3 doesn't have to miss out for once.

It really does look good. I'm becoming more and more hopeful with everything I read and watch. I like how the video implies that cooperation between the two characters is needed to advance in the game, which should make puzzles and situations more dynamic. It also looks like it has a lot of charm and a compelling story. Mark me down as interested.

Hey Jim, I have no friggin idea how I missed that "Predators" the movie is coming out. Just found out. It doesn't matter how bad it's going to be, Alien Resurrection will have been far, far worse.

While it looks interesting, I don't really buy Wii games unless it has "Mario" or "Galaxy" in the title.

I've seen a different trailer with less (no?) combat in it and I sorta dismissed this game, this video has me more interested and there's no forgetting that Folklore was a good game with a story I couldn't get enough of.

Looks nice! but too much jrpg-like combat for my taste.

Reminds me of some of the Jim Henson Storybook stuff. I really, really like this.

Now on my radar.

Looks great nonetheless.

Digging the style. Moreover, the play's looking like a more dramatic Zelda-style affair and that's very cool.

This trailer definitely makes the game look a lot better than the last trailer I saw for it. Hopefully it's good; it looks like it all depends on how good the Majin's AI is.

Very evocative of Ueda's stuff. I'd love for this to be as good as it looks like it could be. At the very least, I already find Majin adorable and want one of my own to carry me around and electrocute things for me. Thanks for sharing the info.

One of the other editors did a blurb on it a few weeks ago, and that was the first time I had ever heard of it. I hope it turns out to be good.

Yeah, nice art style. Something very different and interesting from previous Namco work. I could see myself investing in this game. One to watch.

In before PS3 fanboys go "it's a The Last Guardian clone!!!" even if this was in development before TLG was announced. That said, it does look interesting, but i'd like to see more gameplay footage as to not get excited over smoke and mirrors, this is Namco Bandai we're talking about here.

this looks great I'm going to play this and the last gardian all the way to the bank. I'm sure they'll be so different that our early comparison will look funny later on.

The main character's design is terrible. That face, it's just so off. It's like they couldn't decide if they were going full blown anime style or not. I personally don't see how this game is all that exciting. What we have here is a great idea watered down and recycled without any of the soul of the original.

I too was getting the Jim Henson vibe from it. I really wonder why there aren't more games out there that try to tap into the good feelings of Jim Henson's work. Everything has to be so serious these days on the HD consoles. I'd love to see more adventure games with this style to them.

If anything, the music in the trailer was pretty cool... at the end it sounded like some awesome 70's TV show theme song.

I think this has a huge potential for fuck-up, since the partner seems to be AI, that usually makes a game way more annoying than it needs to be, it's still going to my Amazon wishlist though, and since this seems to be the new trend all the hip and cool people are doing JIM IS A TROLLLOLOLOLOL AND IS DOING TO DESTRUCTOID WHAT KOTICK IS DOING TO LITTLE KIDS, WHICH IS RAPE, IN FACT JIM IS KOTICK'S FAT TWIN BROTHER, HE WOULD ALSO WEAR A DOGSUIT BUT HES TOO FAT 2 FIT HE ACTUALLY WEARS A SNORLAX SUIT (WHICH I SAW WHEN HE WAS MOLESTING ME WHEN I WAS 5)!!!!!!111!!1one
also cocks.

@zod000:

Xbox 360 misses much more great games than the PS3. Demon's Souls, 3D Dot Game Heroes and ModNation Racers spring to mind.
