Who's Maggie Q? She's an international model/actress that has appeared in Mission: Impossible III and Live Free or Die Hard. And she was at a Need for Speed Undercover event Electronic Arts held in San Francisco last night. Why? She's in the game, dummy!
EA have announced that Maggie Q will be featured in the just-announced (officially) Need for Speed: Undercover, which will have "big-budget live-action sequence that propel the original story forward as players get behind the wheel." Undercover is bringing back and will focus on high-speed cop chases and "spectacular highway battles." Well that certainly sounds spectacular; the game's producer, Bill Harrisson agrees.
"Need for Speed Undercover features a deep and engaging story of spectacular [Editor's note: told you so!] Hollywood-style live-action that will transport players into the fictional world of the Tri-City bay Area," he said before giving Maggie Q a tongue bath, saying that she allows them to "deliver an unparalleled level of storytelling that will keep players engaged in-between 180-mile-an-hour races."
Maggie Q is excited too, saying that she is "impressed by the scope and quality of of the overall production that goes into a videogame these days."
Need for Speed Undercover (developed by EA's Black Box) will be available this holiday, for those putting your wish lists together.

Guildford, UK – August 15, 2008 – Black Box, a studio of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) today announced Need for Speed™ Undercover, the intense action racing title scheduled for release this holiday. The new game will feature international movie star, Maggie Q, as the lead character in the big-budget live-action sequences that propel the original story forward as players get behind the wheel. EA’s Need for Speed Undercover takes the franchise back to its roots and re-introduces break-neck cop chases, the world’s hottest cars and spectacular highway battles.
