MAGFest: Nobuo Uematsu reflects on the event
I think Dale pretty much summed it up regarding MAGFest X which wrapped up yesterday: it was definitely the best yet, and neither of us want to wait for next year. The highlight was Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu's band, the Eartbound Papas, taking to the stage on Saturday night and bringing down the house. Now that the event is over, we were able to catch a moment with Uematsu himself to allow him to reflect on their performance and MAGFest overall. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I was at the very front of the stage right in front of him,and watching him play the opening chords of "Dancing Mad" is a legitimate highlight of my life. So glad I went. I think his hand is possessed by the god of music. The price he had to pay for his otherwordly musical talent. only at Magfest you can see Uematsu asking the audience if it was okay to drink beer and he did. XD;; My first Magfest was incredible. If they come back next year, and if Machinae Supremacy is able to make it, I'm definitely going. MAGFest 2013 baby. When he busted out a Colossus "Whooooooooaaaaaa!!!!" I about lost my shit. He was awesome, I hope I get to meet him again. I might not babble like a child then in front of him. Nobuo was already a legend, but seeing him in concert, all the wacky stuff he did, made him even awesomer me. He slammed a beer onstage and said "I love Sam Adams!", he did the Colossus Roar, and his band kicked ass. MAGFest needs more huge names like Earthbound Papas. Seeing Distant Worlds at Comic-Con a couple years ago was a "legitimate highlight of my life". I am insanely jealous of all those who got to go to this event. (An event I didn't even know existed until a few days ago.)
