MAGFest Cometh, you should too

Have you been to MAGFest yet? It's like PAX except closer to my house since it takes place just outside of Washington, DC. Actually, MAGFest came first so PAX is like it -- but I digress. Destructoid has been rocking MAGFest for years now and it's one of the best chances to hang out with the community, play every videogame ever and listen to some of the greatest gaming music out there. Seriously, the ever expanding band line-up is like a who's who of gaming bands (that's Metroid Metal above).

Now the details: MAGFest 9 is taking place January 13-16 of 2011 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, VA, and organizing for getting the Destructoid group is underway. If you're interested in learning about MAGFest you should check out the official site right here. If you're then even further interested in joining the awesome that will be then you should join the Destructoid MAGFest Google Group. We're planning a few group registrations there and figuring out rooms and other such events.

Seriously, this is one of the best gaming events of the year and the more Dtoiders there the better.
