Like we've said before, MAGFest is one of those things you'd just have to see for and experience yourself. And while video isn't as good as being there, it's definitely better than nothing. MAGFest is games, more games, and game music and game movies, and there isn't enough tape to record all that went down January 1-4 in Alexandria, VA.
This video excludes the music, the main focus of MAGFest. Those videos are coming at another time. It also excludes the hangovers and drinking.
It's funny -- my New Year's resolution was to not drink as much as I did in 2008. Last year was a drinkfest for me, as I'm at some event every couple of weeks, and all seem to have an open bar. My health suffered, I think. Oh, and then there's the embarrassing situations and photographic evidence. Despite my plans to dial it back, I drank enough in the first 4 days of the year to know that I've completely blown that resolution. Damn.
As for the video, it gives a quick overview of the gaming and vendors in attendance. There's also some behind the scenes nonsense, and a cameo by a couple of Destructoid's own at the end. Drinking or not, I'm already looking forward to next year's event.

I hope to be there for next year. Didn't have the funds for this, Katsucon, AND Otakon. Especially if I wanted to spend money...which I always do.
