Madworld offers 'Blood Bath Challenges' for the multiplayer-hungry photo

Those of us disenchanted with the Wii's lack of "mature" titles have surely got a bone in the pants for Platinum Games' upcoming gorefest Madworld. Described as a game wrapped around the concepts of brutality and exhilaration, I have to admit I have no idea how this title ever got approved to appear on the family-friendly Wii.

I have to admit I never even wondered if the game would have multiplayer (but being more of a solo gamer, I don't really pay any mind to these things), but it looks like people fiending to share the bloodshed with a friend can look forward to it in the form of "Blood Bath Challenges", which are mentioned on the official website.

Looks like I am finally going to be dusting off my Wii and giving it some serious time soon .. and I can invite a friend to the party!

February? Isn't MadWorld coming out on in March? Sega has HOTD: OverKill in February already. So would they really want two of their awesome hardcore Wii games going head to head only a week, or two apart? Either way it looks great, and multiplayer "Blood Bath Challenges" sounds really cool!

I can't wait for that game. Even though I really don't know anything about it? Wait a second, something isn't right here...

I love death. Now I can practice the true magic of destruction and decapitation on every console!

Hmm...Collette? Maybe the people that "approved" Madworld for the "family friendly" Wii console, were the same people who "approved" No More Heroes, Call of Duty, Manhunt 2, Scarface, Godfather, Resident Evil 4, Umbrella Chronicles, or any of the other Mature rated games for the Wii.

Jesus Christ. Can we get some real news reporting around here?

Most of those you mentioned are ports. The rest are not that great.

Uh, so that means they don't count? I'm just pointing out this news story's obvious lack of sense on how the industry works. 3rd parties decide whether to put games of any rating on whatever console they want, not some imaginary "The Nintendo Board of Ratings Approval on Family-Friendly Wii Console Committee."

But there aren't any good gruesome games on the Wii.

Anyway, where in the story does it say that such a panel of reformed-Yakuza born-again Christians carefully analyze with a discriminating eye the games that go on Wii and weed out the perverse or ultra-violent? I see no such panel mentioned.

However, in comparison to other console's companies of origin, Nintendo itself has been firmly set on creating fairly light-hearted material.
