Mad Catz to unveil 'Femme Fatale' TE Fight Sticks at PAX photo

All Units, confused nerds: Cammy’s round buttocks are set to grace the next run of Mad Catz Tournament Edition Fight Sticks. Starting September 4th, Mad Catz and Capcom plan to sell a very limited run of Street Fighter IV joysticks sporting the fine and not-exploited-in-the-least females of the game as its artwork. It has been dubbed the “Femme Fatale” edition Fight Stick, for obvious reasons.

The Fight Sticks will be available for purchase in two ways on the 4th: at the Capcom booth at Penny Arcade Expo and through the official Capcom and Mad Catz online stores.

One thousand of these puppies have been forged by whatever machines Mad Catz uses to spit out peripherals. Of those thousand, 650 of them are for the Xbox 360, while the PS3 gets the remaining 350 of the limited run.

These things will sell out quicker than a BlizzCon convention, so if you’re drooling over the purple and white awesomeness, stem up and hit the refresh button like a fiend as September 3rd closes.

I understand that Viper is the new chick, but does she really have to take up all that space? I never really dug her.

It looks horrible they should have used Udon art instead of copying and pasting the regular SF4 pictures

Really? You put Chun-Li on and then cut off her defining feature midway through it? Boo.

Shit is hot. Seeing as how I've been looking to get an arcade stick I might go ahead and see if I can grab one of these.

If I was a girl and didn't already have two of the regular TE sticks, I'd pick this up.

bah, the artwork sucks but it would be nice to get a different body for mine, the red and black doesn't really sit well with the art i want to put on there.

The interesting thing about these special edition accessories is the ability for manufacturers to sell collector's edition hardware because the brand equity, game play, and character development has captivated an audience enough to consider a) this collectible and b) noteworthy.

Wait a few weeks afterward till someone tosses the artwork up on shoryuken.com, then replace the sanwa buttons, art, and paint the bevel. Bam, you got yourself a Femme Fatale Fightstick.

I guess that's nice and all, but how about first making those TE sticks available for, you know, buying, like in Europe? I pre-ordered one, then canceled after a few month, apparently the shop never got even a single one from MadCatz. /rant
