Mad Catz to unleash more Street Fighter IV controllers photo

Mad Catz isn’t done with Street Fighter IV. Following up on the success of the first batch of themed peripherals, the accessory provider is releasing a second “round” of Fight Sticks and Fight Pads this fall. The new stuff looks to be structurally and mechanically the same, but new art does grace the tops of these things.

No plans of a Standard Edition Fight Stick were revealed in the announcement made this afternoon. Instead, it appears as though Mad Catz will only be offering the behemoth $150 Tournament Edition Fight Stick. On the Fight Pad front, the provider will be, uh, providing a ton of character-themed $40 peripherals. The list of the faces on the peripherals includes M. Bison, Guile, Zangief, C. Viper, Cammy, and Sagat.

I made one myself. It isn't the same thing but THE CUSTOMIZATION MAN!!!!

It's actually real easy. Took me longer than it would to encourage me to make a second one for a second player, but it was fine. And it's on a wood box. Vintage is the way.

Well the whole reason why have put exactly zero time into SFIV and MvC2 is because the lack of a fightpad/stick, so this is news I approve of.

They aren't charging you money to make these, why do you care if they release more?

The game hasn't even been out a full year yet on the consoles. Gamers move too god damn fast for their own good sometimes.

The TE is a beautiful thing. They should release different faceplates and bezels, though for people who already own the sticks.

Hopefully they make the compartment for the cord a little bigger. That shit's so hard to get back in once you've taken it out!

If I found one of those fight pads at a friends house, and it was actually being used and not on display, I'd smack them for not getting the stick.

Nothing wrong with making more of the best 360 stick on the market right now. I've got two of the red ones, so I'm all set. If I were to be in the market for a new one, though, I'd almost prefer if the gray art was less significant or gone completely, leaving it completely black. And as for the fightpads...well, let's just say I never like a character controller and am happy with my Comic Con editions.

The new art on the pads is cool. Its nice that they are releasing new character pads. I do think that they should of atleast drastically changed the art and button colors on the TE stick. Dont get me wrong, its still cool though. i love my TE

I love the gamepad more than the arcade stick. It just works and reminds me of the sega genesis! And I love the sega genesis.

TE? Robust build my ass. Try swapping buttons out of the top panel or the start/select buttons.

It's a *great* stick stock, you don't have to swap buttons out, but working with it is a bitch.
