If you own a PC, it's doubtless that you've played or at least heard of Machinarium. The clever, amusing, undeniably endearing little adventure game now has a special edition on the way, and the contents have been revealed. If you love Machinarium, you may want to drop some dollars.
A UK price of £19.99 has been revealed, which is more than reasonable. Here's what you can expect to find in Machinarium: Collector's Edition:
- 54-page walkthrough
- Poster
- Concept art booklet
- Soundtrack CD with five never-before-heard bonus tracks
Seems very much worth the cash to me. If you're a fan of point-and-click adventure games, then this should be a definite buy. You won't be found wanting.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
54-page walkthrough
I have no time for this.
Firstly, walkthrough guides are in abundance on the internet for free (although they are not as beautifully illustrated.)
Secondly, including a walkthrough guide in the case is like sneaking a packet of cigarettes in a box of nicotine gum, the urge to use it would be insurmountable and would ultimately ruin the point of the game.
A concept art booklet, a tale from the Machinarium universe or the two Samarost games on a CD would have been a far more welcome inclusion than a walkthrough.
Shame i've finished the game already.
Just found Machinarium: Special Edition on Amazon for £13. An even better reason to get this great game.

I remember playing this on Master System and only. I would never think this would eventually come to a Nintendo system.
