Ugh. Why are some developers such slimy jerks? Makes me feel strangely ashamed as a gamer, even though I have no connection to them.
This is atrocious. Like, really disgustingly awful. I agree that these dudes need a severe punching. Who wants to form a beat-down squad?
This is even worse than the blocks cometh. 0 work, 100% illegal, and they're still trying to defend themselves... Removal doesn't do it justice. This is straight up theft. Fines at very least, if not jail time. If they made 400+ sales, I'm guessing it's going to count as grand theft with a felony record.
This kind of shit just keeps piling up, doesn't it? Such a shame that companies will rip off anything, and everything, for a quick buck.

I'd just like to send a little bit of well deserved hate in your direction. In your blatant and illegal theft of Lugaru HD you have solidified your place in the industry as a bunch of despicable hacks, congrats. You've unashamedly stolen from not just another developer, but a struggling indie dev that regularly assists charity and other devs, all without demanding a shred of the profit. You then continued this farce by claiming it was your right to sell Wolfire's creation and reap the rewards of there work. I'd say pull your version of Lugaru from the apple store to save face with gamers but its to late for that, instead you should pull your bastardized product because if you don't want Wolfire to sue the shit out of you then it'd be wise to appeal to their sense of mercy, even if you don't deserve it.

Lugaru Hd is a really fun and unique game. I hope they get the situation worked out so they have the money to do a new project.

The guy that made that actually OK'd it with Mojang before putting it up. They're cool with it since its just a world viewer, not an unauthorised port. They cover stuff like that in Minecraft's EULA, saying people are free to charge for mods and utilities.

They are building their own engine, and they've been making new alpha updates every week and showing it off on Youtube ... what's more, you can pre-order and play around with their alpha yourself!

I sadly doubt Wolfire actually has the money to take legal action against anyone. Even though their case is bulletproof. Not to mention actually getting the guy to pay up. Its unlikely that his fraudulent profits would even cover the legal fees, let alone the settlement (which would likely be Sales x Real Price, so right away the he is in negative).
Wolfire has lost money on this and that is shitty. However, a legal battle, even with a guaranteed win.. Well, it would only end in more losses overall.
The best we can hope for is Apple puts more effort into screening apps (They won't) and implement security features, such as placing a hold on profits from new apps to help developers recover from fraud such as this (however, again, apple won't do this)
The best hope really is for developers to start a class action lawsuit against apple. If massive recording companies can sue torrent sites for indirectly providing pirated wares at no cost than surely developers can sue apple for storing pirated content on their servers and selling them.

Dear iCoder, I was playing your iTunes game Lugaru this morning and it occured to me that this is an EXACT copy of Wolfire's Lugaru HD. I found this odd because I would assume that no self respecting person would sell a product that is an EXACT copy of someone else's hard work for profit. I mean even asian knock-offs have the decency to change at least a vowel or consonant in the brand name their jacking. So I can only assume you either 1) forgot to change the name to iLugaru or Nugaru, or 2) are a complete and utter douche-nozzle.
That shit is despicable. I look forward to the news post proclaiming iCoder's downfall. Do not let me down internet.
All it would take is a few mins for an apple rep to Google search a game before it is passed through submissions. It's just dreadful what happened to this developer. It's such BS. Just the other day I saw the "Super Mario Jump" in the iTunes app store featuring Mario himself. I can't even make this shit up. It was pulled the next day mind you but still, all this says to me is that apple really doesn't care if something is stolen or not.
