Love the color red? This Tony Hawk: RIDE board is for you photo

Guys, I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but Tony Hawk: RIDE is making its way to store shelves on November 17. That's next week.

For a game launching so soon, we sure don't know anything really worthwhile about it. As a refresher, here's what we do know about the game: it has a soundtrack, the Wii version has playable Miis, and pro skaters are down with the product. Encouraging, to say the least.

I don't know what the deal is with Tony Hawk: RIDE, but we've been given yet another tidbit that has nothing to do with how good or bad the game might or might not be: a Wal-Mart-exclusive skateboard peripheral.

It's like the normal one, but it's red. And you have to fight your way through Wal-Mart patrons to obtain it.

awww that's cute. it'll match the blood stains of the little kids who go flying into various glass objects in the room when they use it. good job Activision.

I'd love to buy the red one, too bad I have to go to walmart to do it. Fuck. That.

I always liked the tony hawk games because I could be a badass skater using a controller. Peripherals are not my forte, so Mr Hawk can go and fuck himself.

Red seems to be the color of the season. First the New Super Mario Bros Wii box, and now this.

Looks good though.

I'm going to go ahead and predict that that playing with this peripheral will suck.

Oh wow another shitty Activision peripheal packaged with a game. Bleh. Not buying this crap. Why don't I try playing it with my 50 million broken Guitar Hero controllers. The game does look a bit intuitive though. It's most like gonna get 7.5-8's across the boards.

Come on man, it's like a skateboard.....without wheels! They did nothing but hold back the awesomeness you could achieve.

Honestly I'm a bit scared of the lack of any kind of buzz from this game. You would think that a game that requires it's own damn controller would get a good bit of P.R. just to push the idea out there. Then again maybe the fact that it uses it's own is it's best selling point. Hell I don't know what to think anymore. I just know I won't be buying it.

dam commie skate board.

considering it cost more than an actual skateboard, this could only hurt and then help the skating industry. hurt because people will hurt themselves but get good, then figure they have the balance and buy a real board, only to hurt themselves even worse but in that, help the skate industry.
ying and yang, then yang and ying.

DJ Hero's NPD numbers were a flop, and I'm so ready for Ride to flop. Activision needs to learn they can't swindle customers at of an extra $60 just cus the game cus with a fucking toy.

I'm sorry tony... I remember in the 90's you had a great game, it was revolutionary! But then... holy hell you made too many... no break in between, just game after game after game. I'm sorry tony, but making a game with your name on it again so quickly with a pricey peripheral just won't do fine by me. lol the last one I bought was Tony Hawk 3
