Guys, I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but Tony Hawk: RIDE is making its way to store shelves on November 17. That's next week.
For a game launching so soon, we sure don't know anything really worthwhile about it. As a refresher, here's what we do know about the game: it has a soundtrack, the Wii version has playable Miis, and pro skaters are down with the product. Encouraging, to say the least.
I don't know what the deal is with Tony Hawk: RIDE, but we've been given yet another tidbit that has nothing to do with how good or bad the game might or might not be: a Wal-Mart-exclusive skateboard peripheral.
It's like the normal one, but it's red. And you have to fight your way through Wal-Mart patrons to obtain it.

"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Looks good though.
Honestly I'm a bit scared of the lack of any kind of buzz from this game. You would think that a game that requires it's own damn controller would get a good bit of P.R. just to push the idea out there. Then again maybe the fact that it uses it's own is it's best selling point. Hell I don't know what to think anymore. I just know I won't be buying it.
considering it cost more than an actual skateboard, this could only hurt and then help the skating industry. hurt because people will hurt themselves but get good, then figure they have the balance and buy a real board, only to hurt themselves even worse but in that, help the skate industry.
ying and yang, then yang and ying.
