Since mega expansion 'Mines of Moria' went live, things have been quiet on the Lord of the Rings: Online front. No more, says Turbine. Today the developer behind the MMO released a few new screenshots of their upcoming content update, 'Volume II: Book 7: Leaves of Lorien.'
The first few screenshots are from the area of Lothlorien, the area that the new content will expand to. The last five or so are images of the characters. We’re told that Turbine has “revamped the player experience for elves, dwarves, and the race of man.” Apparently, these images illustrate those changes.
I’ve yet to really get into LOTRO, so I’m not exactly sure that this content is what players are clamoring for. LOTRO players, is this what you needed? Non-LOTRO players, what will it take to get you into the game?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
A number of friends are looking to start playing with the patch, since they've done some interesting upgrades to a number of starting areas. That's in addition to finally adding quest locations on your map, which has been a huge problem for most new, casual players.
