Lost Planet 2 producer on demo's release: 'Soon, I guess' photo

Remember how Capcom had hoped to get a playable Lost Planet 2 demo out for public consumption around E3 time? That ... didn't happen. Instead, I got to hear from Dale and Hamza about how you can travel inside the stomach of a salamander boss, rather than experience it for myself, and ended up playing Yoshi's Island out of jealousy.

According to Famitsu by way of Joystiq, Lost Planet 2 producer Jun Takeuchi has said the E3 demo will be available for download "soon, I guess." Perhaps this is just me, but casually adding in "I guess" to the statement makes Takeuchi sound like a total badass.

There's not much else to do but hope Capcom's definition of "soon" matches your definition of the word, because that four-person co-op is begging to be played.

Wow I completely forgot about that boss in Yoshi's Island. That goes without saying about Jabu Jabu in Ocarina of Time.

HD putridness inside the guts of a monster? Oh hell yeah

Yoshi's Island is probably better than Lost Planet 2 anyway.

You know, even before the fight in Yoshi's island, there was a boss battle in Kiwi Kraze for nintendo when you are eaten by a whale and you have to avoid his stomach acid.

Thanks for that amazing header image: I really want to play Yoshi's Island again now.

@Monodi
For some reason I thought about Jabu Jabu as well.

@Mascot,

It wasn't really a fight, but in StarTropics you get eaten by a whale and have to traverse your way around until you find the way out.

Is this the demo for the 360 and PS3, or just 360... wait, is this even coming out for the PS3, I read somewhere that it was, but I've also read somewhere that it doesn't.

@Kalmah

The PS3 version has actually been confirmed. The demo will likely be only for the 360.

I'm going to go home and play some Yoshi's Island. Your temptations are too much for me!

@Chronic Logic: look at the size of those Shy Guys he eats to make 'em! I think in that scenario, Yoshi got shrunken, but since the enemies remained the same size, so did his eggs.

@Mascot,

Never played BoF2, did they steal something from StarTropics?

StarTropics totally stole it from the Bible though.
