Lost Planet 2 possibly getting an early demo near E3 photo

Similar to how a demo for the original Lost Planet went out way before the game was ever released, Capcom is hoping to achieve the same result with Lost Planet 2 later this year, according to Eurogamer.

"We are working hard right now to make sure there is a playable version of this game at E3 for anybody who's going to be in attendance there," explained producer Jun Takeuchi during Captivate 09. "And we're also hoping to have a downloadable demo."

Interestingly enough, it's sounding like LP2 is still a possibility for the PlayStation 3, and even the PC, but Eurogamer notes that Takeuchi didn't specify which systems would get the early demo treatment, if any.

I can't quite put my finger on why I'm so pumped for the game when Lost Planet didn't do much for me at all, but it's good to know that I won't have to blindly buy the sequel. Anyone else excited to try out LP2 as well?

Having just finished the first game this shit looks so much better. One thing I didn't really like about LP1 was the isolation. You start out surrounded by a lot npc's yet every mission after that is just you and an assload of enemies. After one of the missions you run directly into your friends after a huge boss fight. It's like what route did you assholes take, I'm guessing the one without the 80 ft. fucking bug.

I'm really pumped for this game. I thought the first LP was one of the more underrated titles on the 360. The single player was entertaining, and I thought the multiplayer was very good.

LP1 came out on the PC, but there was a lot of technical issues. I hope LP2 comes out on the PC again, and this time fix the bugs.

I still don't see why LP2 wouldn't be multiplatform. Almost every other game Capcom has made or is making is going to be multiplatform, what would make LP2 so special?

Anyway, it looks more actiony and I get to blast a bunch of stuff, stuff which includes giant bugs. Of course I'd be excited as hell with something like that.

Me , but I don't have a 360 and this looks like the kinda game I'd want to play on the PS3 on a 52" 1080p HDTV , not a sub par PC on medium :(

@ Bulkmailer

totally agree, some stages were kinda lonley. A bit of in game interaction would help.Old school run and gun play with co op will be amazing If we get an early demo it will make my summer.

First LP was awesome but i want more bug bosses than mecha bosses.
Hope LP2 will huv more bugs. But putting thermal glowing weak points on nearly every monsters make them look kinda same.
